Do they charge GST on local items when the seller is under the legal turnover threshold to charge GST, anyway? I thought it was only on imports? They don't charge it on imported items sold by foreign sellers when the stock is shipped from local, so what is the story?

Everyone gets the 40 free listings - it's the selling for a $1 fee that is the drawcard here.
No everyone - some accounts receive less.
I can "Accept Offer" but currently have a $0 Insertion & Final Value Fee til Sunday night. No point to take up this offer

If u are going to list, keep an eye on which one it goes onto. I've had both offers activated before and it went into the $1 instead of the free.
It always says 0 remaining for me when I accept the offer. Is it because there is actually 0 remaining or because it is unlimited they just have it written like that?

eBay is yet to learn of the ∞ symbol.
Never had a targeted offer. Not once! It suggests that they always target the same people. Not very good marketing if you ask me as I would sell loads on ebay if I got them
Or it suggests you haven't given them permission to send you targeted offers - it's an option in your eBay preferences.

Does the listing have to sell by Sunday midnight to get the $1 final fee or just list it by Sunday night then sell within say 7 day auction?
Just list it by Sunday night - it can sell whenever after that.
Up to 30 days. Before it's relisted
Make sure you untick automatic relisting - the relisting won’t be eligible for the offer.
