[Refurbished] Nintendo Wii U Premium Console $118.40, Basic Console $102.40 C&C or $6.95 Delivery @ EB Games eBay

1830
PRELOVED20

This is a great console for playing the pre-Switch library of Nintendo Games as it is pretty easy to softmod and has HDMI output for ease of use compared to the Wii. Looks to be a historical low for the preowned version from EB and comes with a 12 Month Guarantee.

Premium version [32gb internal memory]
Basic version [8G internal memory] SOLD OUT

Original 20% off PRELOVED code post

I would recommend Click and Collect if you can - The first one they gave me looked pretty rough, but they had three others in stock so let me pick another one that is in near-mint condition.

The consoles are completely wiped and reset but there is nothing ebgames can do about games linked to the console by the eshop. They are linked to the hardware of the console.

      • Yes but I want to find out what else the previous owner purchased so I can download them lol

Purchased this last night drunk via click and collect, woke up and regretted it as my pile of shame is already disgustingly long.

Got the email to collect, rocked up to the store and said no thanks, please can I have a refund, they refunded me the entire $149.00.

Hope the sales girl doesn't get into too much trouble.

    • So you just added to your pile of shame? Is it weird if I am okay with eBay getting screwed but not EB Games?

Argh got a preowned wii u controller along with the buy 2 get 1 free and have no cable to charge or connect it…
It uses the same old cable that the ps3 did but I lost/tossed it somewhere…

Need an sd card and reader as well :(

It's on 5.5.1, should I update it to 5.5.2 or just leave it as is?
I'm too scared to even check the eStore cause of it.

Oh and it has Mario kart 8 pre installed, cool.
GG it got auto updated to 5.5.2, no choice.

  • Does anyknow know if you can play just on the gamepad with the screen?

I'm thinking of buying it for when I want to play games and the mrs is watching some stupid reality tv show like the bachelorette.

    • From the games I have tried, it works great when someone else is watching TV

    • not all games support it, but yes a bunch let you just use the game pad.

  • The first one I picked up was in pretty rough shape and filthy. Plugged in the gamepad and it wouldn't power on. To their credit EB switched over the whole lot immediately and managed to get one in good nick, clean and with Mario Kart 8! Score!

    • I just picked mine up and man its in horrible shape.

      I hope it atleast works.

  • Does anyone know what the cheapest DS game would be to use for modding?

    • It is brain training something or other… it was about 9 dollars ?

      I did it last night.

      Easy to mod too.

  • I got mine yesterday and they let me inspect before I bought it and the gamepad only had minor scuffs and the screen minor scratches. I realised later last night that the scratches were on a screen protector so that was a plus!

Didn't have any preinstalled eshop games though but I have modded it already and it was quite an easy process! Just need an SD card. I would advise a USB drive though for the games.

EB Currently have a buy 2 get 1 free on preowned controllers so I ordered 2 genuine pro controllers and 1 xbox one controller in case I have a 3rd person over to play diablo 3. The Wii U Pro controllers are going the way of the gamecube controllers and getting hard to find a genuine one.

    • Which mod did you use, from what I read it’s quite easy to brick it depending on the soft mod

OK, I've done all that, including blocking updates. Added a USB hard drive and formatted.

Installed a game from a WUX file.
But now when I launch the game, it tries for ages to update before giving error and allowing to continue without update.
Should I allow the update? Or some other way to fix the delay?

In the past, I used the same guide and it tries to update for a split second and then continues

Also if you want pro's helping you out - try GBAtemp in their wii u forums. I have found the community exceptionally helpful at times
