Haha, honey see what I got you for valentines day? virtualisation software puts roses to shame

  • You forgot to mention VMWare Workstation 7

Spelling error on Valetine's in title.

Just imagine it… "How much do I love you? So much, I've bought you VMWARE"

  • sorry, i know i should try checking this out myself, but thought i'd ask to save some time.

    1. is it possible (and cheaper?) to pay in USD rather than AUD on the website?
    2. do you guys think it's worth it to pay the extra $20 (USD$99 rather than USD$79 RRP) to get 12 months insurance of all major updates.. seems like 3.2 is making way for 4.0 within one year from now?

    Cheers.

  • I have used both Fusion 3.x and Parallels 6.0 and to be honest Parallels is faster and feel better as a Mac program. If you are a true fan of VMWARE, wait until Fusion 4.

feels like romeo and juliet … running windows under mac …
Mac: "Oh microsoft, Oh microsoft. Where for art thou, microsoft?

    • More like Windows is the poison Romeo buys from the apothecary to drink.

  • Is Parallels still kicking VMware butt or did this version narrow the gap.

    • VMWare craps over Parallels.

      • How do you find virtualbox which is free?
I use it for basic window programs and it runs fine.

        • I've used VirtualBox for various flavours of Linux, xp and windoze 7. No dramas. All free… all good.

  • Rebate is $35 AUD

  • I own both Parallels and Fusion. Parallels is much faster.

  • If I've already just purchased a copy of the latest Fusion can I still get the rebate?

Because I'm not sure if the following applies to "email address" or "home address", but I assume it was home address m… if it is does that mean I can put a friends address and still get the rebate with the same email account? :D

This rebate is not valid with any other VMware sponsored offers. Limit one (1) rebate per address as determined by VMware in its sole discretion.
