What is the word/phrase for not buying a bargain when you had a chance and regretting it later?

Thinking the opposite of buyer's remorse.

This excludes missing out on a sale because they sold out before you had a chance to buy it.

Does this "illness" only affect Ozbargainers?

Or are we just more prone to it because we see so many bargains?

:)

  • Lament.

    • Yes, but that is only part of it. It isn't "buyer's lament" or "buyer's remorse".

I think it is must be something like "Ozbargainer's remorse"?

    • No, it is only this is you are telling other people about it.

One can suffer from this in silence and spend their life continually looking on Ozbargain for that special they missed to come up again.

No I think this is from excessive buying of things found on Ozbargain.

I've often found things even cheaper after missing out the first time.

Actually what happens is you become aware of the bargain (lowest price of an item) and since you missed on it, you’ll either buy at later that price point or lower.

  • In all honesty there are few bargains I can remember regretting I didn’t buy, after a couple of days. Maybe the Sony headphones at JB. However, there have been some brilliant bargains I’ve got through the site. I think we all suffer from BargFOMO though.
