"BONUS POINTS can only be collected once per flybuys account"

      • Have you got your flybuys points yet? It's almost a week but the points have not been posted.

I have called called centre, also DM flybuys on FB and they said the $50 Gift card is not part of the promo.

From the complaints on product review and FB, seems like they are running away from fulfilling their own offer.

        • I got my points, purchased $50s and $100 cards

        • @Turd:

Lucky you :) 2 of my workmates also have been denied their points to be posted. Have many accounts did you use?

In 2018, there have been people in OZB who got burned. Flybuys has been getting a lot of heat in social media lately for not posting points and dishonouring their own promos.

        • @Bargainmaniaz: Only 2, how do you know? Links?

Some people need these offers to boost their VFF points balance.Dont be narrow minded. Also you pay less by using discounted Coles eGC.

  • Why not QLD?
    Is it correct?

  • Is there a minimum spend on the Good Food vouchers?

  • WA only valid for Event Cinemas, Good Food.
No mention on Coles MasterCard Gift Card

  • Not in WA.

  • the catalogue image showing $100 on coles gift card, should we get $100 instead or $50 is still okay?

  • -1

Lmao wtf is a purchase fee? Isn't the act of paying something the definition of a purchase fee already?

    • +1

A fee lots of non-specific gift cards have eg. Visa, eftpos, Mastercard, Westfield. It's charged on top of the value you purchase but is not included in the gift card value.

      • -1

Seems like it should be illegal but okay

        • Oh come on. I feel like your comment should be illegal but okay, we'll let you off this one time with just probation and house arrest so you don't visit Coles for the next two weeks.

The act of 'paying something' is not the definition of a purchase fee. The act of paying the full amount of the purchase price might come closer to the definition.

There's an extra fee on top of the dollar amount because there's an extra cost involved as well as a profit that needs to be made.

When you buy the discount cards online you'll note that coles/woolies offer a free electronic card or you can (with an additional purchase fee!) get an actual plastic card.

It actually costs money to make the card, ship it (and/or post it) and so on.

Assuming the lowest denomination mastercard is $50, it's not particularly great deal but better than nothing.

$50 gets you $10 in discounted dollars and it costs you $55 ($52.25 assuming 5% off) for a saving of $7.75.

So around a 15% discount all up if you put it all back into a Coles shop.

I'd suggest the mastercard is the best deal as you can then use it for anything (including buying items that are discounted, for a further savings..)

Note that the Event cards do have a 24hr delay period before it becomes active with your credit.
It's the first I've seen out of all the gift cards available.

P.s. you can pay for telstra thanks tickets with event gift cards :D

  • Great timing, I was off to the movies while the car is serviced. I'll pick up a village card for the candy bar!

  • +1

Went to World Square Coles, did not see this offer advertised. Purchased one $50 Event GC, we'll wait & see I guess.

  • Merged from 2000 Flybuys Points When You Buy Any Village or Good Food Gift Cards at Coles
    Go to Deal

    IN-STORE ONLY.
    MIGHT BE VIC ONLY?
I noticed there is a similar, but different, deal at Coles at the moment NSW only. I am in VIC and I bought this today.

The best part is; I checked the wording of the advertisement and it should well apply to any value village or good food gift card.

I bought a $30 village gift card today; hoping to get the 2000 flybuys points. I’ve done these types of deals previously and usually get the points within a couple days of the end of the promotional period.

Please note you only get the bonus flybuys points once per flybuys household.

  • Hi OP have you got your points yet? It's been almost a week but no points have been posted😯

2 of my workmates are also experiencing the same issue. When we called Flybuys and DM in FB they are denying the validity of this offer.

    Please kindly help🙇
