Fujifilm X-T2 Black Body $1369.20 (After $350 Cashback) @ Camera Store eBay

Great price for a great camera. The same seller has some lens kit options as well, although the individual lens prices seem to be pretty high compared to other sellers (digidirect).

  • I get that this is Fuji's high end offering, can anyone offer to weigh in why their lower end cameras have a touchscreen with AF while this one doesn't?

    • +3

Fuji's history of using touchscreens is very odd. The X-T2 has a joystick that selects the focus point. The X-T20 does away with this, but has a touchscreen instead. On the X-E3, they included both a joystick and a touchscreen, but removed the direction pad buttons!

IMO the best solution so far has been the X-H1, which has a touchscreen, joystick and d-pad, but is a much more expensive camera. For what it's worth I personally prefer a joystick over a touchscreen if I had to choose, because I just find it more comfortable to be able to use it with my right hand.

      • I was thinking a touchscreen would be better because joystick manipulation for the focal point takes time. Am I wrong in saying this?

        • Unless you are Rachmaninoff, you would need to adjust your grip to have full reach of the screen and if you are using your left hand to hold lights or draw attention, almost no chance of having your right thumb cover the whole screen.

      • I use the joystick too. It is impossible to have reach over the entire screen when you're shooting handheld.

    • High end camera aimed to more pro users. Pro users tends keep eye stuck onto EVF and joystick the focus. Lower end cameras tend to be bought by new photographers who would enjoy the touch screen more. (similar to their smartphone camera experience) Having said that, I'm not a pro and I do enjoy the touch screen because I have no co-ordinations whatsoever.

      • Typically, you'd have your framing in mind and pre adjust your focus area. You may bump the joystick a little for fine tuning. It's not coordination, it is planning.

  • This is an amazing price for a very capable camera. I love my X-T2.

  • Where are the X-T3 comments?
This is a good camera for the price if you want one now.
If you could wait and have extra cash then X-T3 would be an awesome camera as per the rumours even if the rumours are half correct.

    • What are they adding? IBIS?
