Srandard Model

I missed out on many of the Cherry MX Red keyboard deals and have been searching for long. This price is seems to be way cheaper than local market price.

Features:
* Gold contact CHERRY MX Redmechanical gaming keyswitches deliver the ultimate performance and competitive advantage
* Dedicated multimedia and Volume controls to adjust your Audio without interrupting your game
* 100% anti-ghosting with full key rollover ensures your commands and simultaneous keystrokes always register the way you intended

Other Mechanical Keyboard deals:

Mod: It appears this item is the K66 model and not K68 as Amazon have written in the title, likely typo. See comments for further information

I think this price is only for the standard.

    • Sorry mate, what you mean by Standard?

      • +2

There's 2 versions.. One is Red LED Backlit… other is RGB LED Backlit…
Probably referring to the standard as being Red LED Backlit only.

        Still a good deal

          I don't think it's even back lit.

          From my reading of it they have 4 models, all cherry red;

          compact $416
          red LED compact $129
          dust and spill resistant $138
          standard $75

@cornbeef: Title says "Back lit, Dust and Spill Resistant", I edited it while posting to shorten the title, wasn't aware of different models.

@Veera: Nice one Veera though I think the $75 price is for the standard cherry red, no back-lights or spill resistance.

The amazon post is quite misleading as the title should refer to 4 products. Plus I don't think they have 10 in stock. I don't mean to rain on your parade as I'm interested in your post.

@cornbeef: Fingers crossed, but I went ahead and bought one because of Amazon Prime assurance. But I still think it is not a bad price for a Cherry Red MX full size keyboard itself without bells & whistles.

@cornbeef: I just checked my invoice and in a corner it says "Standard" in a small print. So I edited the post accordingly. Thanks for all your comments. I am cancelling order and going with Gigabyte K83 listed above.

          @cornbeef:

Title is wrong. The "standard" is a K66. MSY have it for $84 on ebay, free ebay plus shipping.

@chickenface: Great job mate by going indetail and decoding. Misleading title. My apolozies to fellow Ozbargainers for not doing enough home work before posting.

        • @Veera: Hey mate, how did you order the gigabyte? It doesn't allow me to do so.

Check the second review. This is a very basic KB.

I have the Gigabyte Force K-83 (with Red switches) and here are my pros and cons -

    Pro:

    • Black, fits in any office setting without the boss gawking at its design, like many mechanical keyboards out there.
    • Feels super nice and smooth to type on, without the need to jab keys like a regular keyboard.
    • Not much louder than a regular one too.
    • Heavy, won't move/clack easily.
    • Has Windows Lock key - disables the Windows key, preventing accidental presses.

    Con:

    • Prone to dirt/dead skin/ dust due to open structure of the keys.
    • White lettering gets dirty easily - turns from white to grey after a month (even after I wash my hands often).
    • Menu key (between right Alt and Ctrl keys) is replaced with the Windows Lock key.
  • The K66 model is $10 cheaper at msy if anyone is interested

This actually is a k66, if you look at the "technical details" section on the amazon page.

    • That's not an in-store or online deal; it's an exclusive for that expo.

    • Only available that expo and admission cost $60.

  • Aren't Corsair regularly potted for their mechanical offerings?

  • I receive the following error when trying to order the K83 Red, from Amazon.

We are unable to ship non-digital items from amazon.com to Australian shipping addresses.
Please choose a shipping address that is not in Australia to proceed. Some restrictions may still apply depending on the item.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks :)
