Digestives are awesome. Heading to Woolworths after work :)

PSA: Digestives does not aid in digestion despite it's name. Even says so on the packet.

      • Does for me

      • +4

You're not eating enough then, eat a packet in one sitting and report back ;)

      • What's the verdict on 'My dog'?

These in no way what so ever help in digestion anymore than any other similar sweet biscuit.. its a snack and should be consume as such.

Wheat Flour (56%), Vegetable Oil, Sugar, Wholemeal Wheat Flour (13%), Partially Inverted Sugar Syrup, Raising Agents (500, 334, 296), Salt.

Worst name EVER! Porridge has 10x times more fiber then these per 100g

I eat these and they taste nice … especially the chocolate ones :)

I think raisin luncheons were worse. Hardly a luncheon. I was given them for morning tea. Don't get me started on Wagon Wheels.

        • I like the texture of these.. :)

        • +1

I built a wagon using wagon wheels biscuits for my trek across the Simpson desert and they melted a short way into the journey.

          Worst name eva!

        • @SirDale:
Tell me about it. They delayed my Amish barn raising by two harvests.

Name wise, it can be worse. Woolworths currently has Bambi Plazma biscuits.

      • A fair amount of calories in them too.

        @ Vid Ghost
        Yeh noob mistake.
You have to dip them in tea. In this process a chemical reaction occurs due to the heating from the hot water and the tanins in the tea . Raising agents (AKA the reagnents) 500 & 334 combine, reinverting the sugar syrup. This assists osmosis through the stomach lining by the now "soggy digestive" substance, hence assisting and acting as a catalyst for digestion. From a health perspective you should limit your intake or a digestive equivalent of a divergent chain reaction can occur.

        • Yep, now they sound dangerous.

Thanks OP. Time to stock up again. I forgot last time.

  • Last time Coles also has this offer on at the same time and was 10 cents cheaper.
    Might double check coles first.

These are the biscuits that you grab from your cupboard when you have run out of anything good, the supermarkets are closed and you have no money to go to 7-11 to buy snacks.

I think these biscuits are made from the food the homeless reject.

No it's the food of the gods and the Queen.

Digestives are a travel persons best friend! Thanks OP.

    YUM!
    Thanks for posting!
Why don't they sell dark chocolate hobnobs though…they would be awesome!

  • Is it vegetarian?

    • +1

milk is the only animal product.

      • Thank you

        • +1

So yes, it is vegetarian, but not vegan.

        • @PJC: Thank you for your confirmation . No issues with Milk.
However, egg is not considered as Vegetarian for us.

          @codebased:

Eggs are the milk of chickens :) if you think about it that way.. the egg nourishes a baby chicken and so does milk to cows

The palm oil probably isn't ethical.

      • The slapping of all those poor peoples palms to get enough oil to make these cookies.. not ethical at all.

    • I don’t think it eats anything.

  • Early lunch now … Digestives with Gorgonzola.

  • carbs carbs carbs….making me HAPPY

I know they have been gone a while but does anyone know what happened to the caramel flavour digestives? They were so good!

    • I think they were a limited edition.

  • Raw C water and Kettle chips also half price. They get on half price after long times, worth grabbing.

  • Aren't these the things you are meant to use for making the base on cheesecakes?

    • Hobnobs would be better than Digestives for that.

  • Hobnobs… The SAS of biscuits.

    DUNK ME!!
