  • Number one in sales? Number one in positive reviews?

Do you any proof to back up your claims?

Right here: "Eco Power Pack is the only product in the Republic of Korea that is certified for all safety and quality." :D :D :D

      Take that, Eneloop.

      • Haha, so it's 1 out of 1? Nice.

      Thanks

Lol. launching. was $350 before launch. so it never was 350.

    • Hi tightwad,
The product is already advertised for $ 350 at ebay and korean community.
      thanks

  • Lots Of Capital Letters

    • Sorry updated :(

  • Competing product, $331.55 from eBay.

    It's been reviewed by TechMoan

I know Koreans (and Russians) take their dashcams quite seriously but this product is like a niche-within-niche. Most people I know don't run dashcams and those who do usually don't buy the top-end (2 channel with GPS) models, mostly just forward facing budget devices under $100.

RRP in Korea is 190,000 South Korean won (~$228 AUD) and selling for 174800 South Korean Won (~$210 AUD) on Korean website.

    RIP OFF

      • How do you justify something this guy is trying to sell at 40% more expensive price than what is being sold in country of origin? This is OzBargain not eBay. If it's equal to the price in its country of origin, yes i may consider it to be a bargain, considering the cost of importing.

    • Hi SydneyisSkyBlue,
Please check if batteries can be transported from Korea. it cost alot.
      Thanks

      • Yes, but this is OzBargain not OzPromotion. These people go through extra steps to get few cents for Cashrewards. Not worth a deal

    A 10,000mAh power bank for $350? Get fed…

  • Can anyone explain what this does? For example I have my dash cam hard wired to my car so is this just a battery that sits in between so it can run while the vehicle is off?

It lets you keep supplying power to your dashcam when your engine is off and your car is parked. Analogous to an uninterruptible power supply.

It's a bit like a power bank, but most powerbanks will probably do very badly in hot weather. Could probably burn up your car. This is probably ruggedized and has circuitry that lets you hardwire it into your vehicle's power plant and it charges itself that way.

      • Thanks scrimshaw!

      • Rather too many "probablies" in that post to instill any confidence in it.

      • Buy a "fuse tap" and wire with a 12v to 5v transformer… For around $5 you have always on power

  • Don't understand why this is so expensive when I can DIY one with slightly better specs for far less (& didn't even really try to do it on the cheap!):

    $75 - 12V 3.8Ah LiFePO4 Battery
    $30 - 10A LiFePO4 Charge Regulator
$20 - Misc items inc. 12V to 5V Regulators… one for each DashCam if you desire!

Connect to Cigarette Lighter circuit so it charges when you're driving around then it happily powers cameras 24/7.

$125 total and probably only an extra 15-20mins to install versus the expensive product but of course just not as sleek. I doubt it'd take much more effort to build one under $100 either.

    • can u do it for me

      • +1

Yep, $175-$225 on top for installation :)

      • for this, can even use car batteries to do the job if you know what you are doing so it doesn't run out of juice when you start the car in the morning
    • You can DIY a washing machine for far less than you can buy one too, but that doesn't meant that Whirlpool are charging over the odds for one.

      • Agreed but this is a little different as it's such an uber-simple device they're charging SO much for. A Washing Machine is a little more complex and although still very much DIY'able if desired it would cost quite a lot more to gather all the parts (valves, heating element, drive motor, timer/relay board etc.) so it would be far cheaper to just buy a commercially built one. I'm talking as close to like-for-like here.

Just look at a "fuse tap" for your dash cam at around $1-2, no need for this rubbish. Just remember to unplug the cable if you go away for ages.
