Haven't ordered through Kogan before, but assuming Kogan will get it to you quicker than an eBay seller in Japan and the going price seems to be at $155 on eBay for one in nice condition.

Definitely a matter of personal preference. Much rather play a SNES game on a snes controller than on a Wii U gamepad myself.
I got one of these super famicoms recently on the $71 Kogan eBay deal. It was fun to setup and mod the language and games. But I must say id rather play wii u games on a wii u. What I thinking is My money would’ve been better spent on the $102 wii u. You have to be a hardcore gamer to go back to playing 16 bit games. Or just be really drunk.
It’s something that would be cool to put away and freak the grandchildren out with in 30 years or so.
Could always just plug in a USB SNES controller and use it with Retroarch on the Wii U. Best of both worlds.
Worth it just for the sweet box art.
Pity it’s all in Japanese and the two games that we don’t get may need you to read it
