    I don't think the smart 4 has the 5 different cleaning modes like the smart 5 does

        I've been using the smart 5 lately at my gfs place (just on normal mode) and compared to my old Oral B Vitality it's way, way better. Definitely worth the upgrade if you're using similar or a manual brush

        I have the IQ 5000 which also has several modes, it took me months to realise what the mode button on the brush did and even then I have not been able to work out which mode is which.

  I have had Oral B's 5000 9000 for over 10 years. I recently bought the Pro 2 2000 with Lithium Ion battery and am really impressed with its time between charges and power felt through the brush head. I would not recommend non LiIon toothbrushes again. Like others I only use 1 mode.
