    "removing blockages from hair"

So I won't be bald anymore? Funniest looking beta blocker I've ever seen.

  • +3

An alternative is to hit-up that mate with a 3D printer…

    • +5

As someone who finds every reason to crank out a print on one of the printers.. $2.50 might as well get this lol

      • Looks like a good way to use up some TPU that's just sitting around lol

        • +2

          I've run out of yellow… 😔

          • +7

            @jv:

            I've run out of yellow…

HP printer be like: "sorry, unable to scan now as yellow ink is too low"

    • +1

My mate gets high off the fumes and won't answer his phone.

  • +3

An alternative is to get a big cable tie and hack it with pliers/knife/whatever.

    • Lot of videos on YouTube

    free delivery yes please

  • How to use this?
    Does it work?

    • +1

Pictures in the reviews show it does

Think of it a bit like a rose bush twig, those little barbs hook onto bits of yuckness and get hooked on, you then haul it back up out of the sewer pipe. I presume that you’re meant to screed off the grotty bits after with the mechanism at the end. It’s plastic, so safer than a steel auger that gets fed down. Most of the gunk in people’s shower traps is hair, so you can hook it and pull it all out. It’s gross but the hair doesn’t always get flushed out.

      • What is bad about a steel one exactly? I've always been tempted to buy one of those coils/mini snakes in case I ever get a blockage. This feels odd to get by comparison.

        • +6

Steel might get hooked and tear bits and pieces of your piping, joints and drain hardware. Plastic will just slide/bend around.
Think of the metal scraping against plastic piping. Eventually it will scratch through.

      • I prefer to use a tape measure. Guaranteed to get all the hair out and more.

    • +1

Firstly cut all your hair (short, or bald if you'd like) and make sure it clogs your bathroom sink drain, then use this to remove all the hair! Yes, you can re-use the hair to repeat the process if you'd like

    • Yes, I have used one before. They do work. Stick it in the sinks drain hole and rip it in and out. You have to do it a few times, but you are done in 15 mins. I think I bought mine on ebay, probably for a similar price

    Bought 2. Thank you OP

  • I literally just watched a video about this device.

    • +1

      @Broden

Did you buy them all ?

    • +2

      The algorithm is working.

    • U R FAMOUS

    • Did you literally like it?

  • I can send photos to show how well this works

    • +12

Is there anything we can do to prevent you from doing this?

      • There's a couple of beauties in the Bunnings reviews!

  • +1

Pro tip, don’t read the reviews if you are eating or just had dinner.

    • +1

      Lol, ironic username

    • Looks like they guy pulled out a dead cat or rat in that Bunnings review

  • +1

    Cheaper on Temu

  • +2

These are good but cheaper on temu where I bought it from

Warning: it's very gross and stinks so advise wearing some good gloves 🧤

  • -3

This is normal price btw, I bought the same thing last year. Not a bargain.

  • +1

Did a good job of clearing the drains on my boat. Flexible enough to go around bends, but stiff enough to push through the sludge.

  • This could have you $420 if your drain blocks on a Sunday! No wonder it's gotten 69 upvotes, nice.

  • +1

Nice - and by using Afterpay I didn't blow the budget.

  • +3

Alternative option - Remove sink trap underneath and clear blockages 😄

  • I like - looks great - IF your blockage is less than 40cm/16" (that's less than my two hands spread) down the pipe

in other words it seems to be intended for showers - I just shone a torch down my shower waste - the u-bend looked about 30cm/12" down so that should suit this

and would only fit through a slotted waste like our shower - unless you can remove/unscrew other wastes

so looks ideal for probably only hair-clogs in slotted shower wastes …

(my vanity u-bend is about 15cm/6" below the waste which is a grid too small for this thing to fit past it methinks)

while milady does shed hair more noticeably than I do - she black hair, mine grey - we have never suffered a pipe blocked with hair at our home. So that looks like a WhatsUp Wit Choo Ladies … !?!?

  • +1

But i already have a flexible pp.

Draino will do the job and less messy

    • Username doesn't check out

      • FYI I did buy it :-)

  • I just use my metal cloth hanger to do the job, rather easy

  • +1

literally thought this was an SD card attached to the yellow sink drain unblocker

  • -1

    Kink Unblocker.

  • No more constipation either!
