"Was $40" should be "Was and WILL BE $40"

Without any contracts or commitments, might be just the thing some people need for a month away from Kogan.

    no MMS messaging.

    • I second that plus customer service is the worst. Recommend to avoid

  • does lyca has 6 months of 1 year discounted plans like Lebara ?

  • Seems like a good deal to break the chain of Kogan/Voda recharges. Why is it not getting much votes or comments?

I am seriously considering getting 1 for a trial but if someone has any thoughts to share, please do.

Am I missing something obvious? Apologies if it's too trivial.

    • Avoid wait for Telstra deals

  • My Lebara 6 months plan expired recently, I will get this while I look for other deals in the meantime.

  • Anyone had any difficulty porting out?

    • No drama porting but terrible experience. No mms in 2018.

  • when must it be activate

  • There is no MMS sending & receiving. You get login details instead to view mms messages on telstra's platform very annoying. Iphone users Lycamobile does not support Imessenging or it doesn't work.

    Customer service is a joke.

Ditched them around March 18 I doubt anything has changed.

Hmm customer service is pretty poor…
Difficult porting in from Kogan, you can't do it online because there is no Kogan listed in the dropdown and the online system requires a mandatory account number even for prepaid. Initial port failed.
Called again, tip here is to use your DOB in the account number field and Vodafone as provider.
    Porting successful, bundle not applied.
    Now the game begins.
You need an 8 digit PIN emailed from Lycamobile and you have to send this from your active ported number to apply the bundle. Customer service cant do it.
Customer service cant give you the code and they dont seem to be able to get the system to resend the email.
You are supposed to get the PIN when you make the initial online purchase.
My advice would be if you didn't get it, don't start your porting until you have got it successfully resent.
Otherwise you end up ported in, with no credit like me and waiting for a PIN they don't seem to be in control of.
Unfortunately after checking the forums this is a common problem.

  • Agreed it has taken me 1 week already to port my number from Lebara $12 wasted

  • Can confirm that Lyca do not have MMS on any of their plans.

I did not know/believe that there were providers that did not offer MMS - so I called Lyca to ask, and the customer service person sounded a little down when I did so.

Thanks to the people that mentioned this earlier, otherwise this looked to be a good deal.

  • Don't join hard to port over no 13 1300 1800 included no mms messages
