With Fathers Day around the corner, we have decided to offer a great deal on our Australian made leather belt once again.
The last time we had these on offer our website had a melt down, so we've made some changes in the hope this doesn't happen again :)

We are having this sale a little early as last time we spent weeks producing more belts and we don't want anyone missing out on a great Father Day gift.
We have around 50 units in each size and colour. Popular sizes 32 - 38 we have produced plenty of extras.

For orders of 3 or more belts, we will be giving a free leather slimline card wallet (chosen at random, not Aus made).
This is strictly limited to the first 143 orders and will be on a first come first served basis.
I will update this post once the wallets are gone.

I have two great offers on Australian made leather belts (imported buckles & rivets).

Straps are cut, clicker pressed and burnished in Springvale with resizing, skiving and buckle assembly finished in our warehouse in Dingley Village. We use leather sourced from a few of Australia's remaining tanneries and now New Zealand too. (sign up to out newsletter- we have some awesome news coming up!)

We have changed the design from the belts offered in the past.
We no longer use a separate retainer for the buckle. Instead the belt is a single long strap of leather that loops around the buckle.
This has made producing them much easier and has allowed us to keep costs down.

I have two different full grain leather finishes available:

Semi analine [SKU: 205] Limited Stock
This is the same leather from car seats, except it has not been skived down so it remains at a full 3.5mm thickness.

Oil pull-up [SKU: 121 & 122]
These are vegetable oil infused leather belts. NO AZO + NO CHROMIUM for those who may be sensitive to common tanning chemicals
These are known as hunter leather belts, they are supposed to show signs of wear and scratches.

Belts are 39mm wide and have removable buckles. Measurements are taken to the middle hole.

I've made taking advantage of these offers as easy as possible. All you need to do is add the products you want to the cart and the cart will automatically apply discounts depending on the quantity.

    Hey! What's going on here then?
    I've just noticed that I've been charged an "International Transaction fee" on my c/card (paid through Paypal) of 3.3%
    This was not disclosed during the buying or check out phase.
    What is going on here Rep?

      Been on the phone with Paypal.
      I can confirm there was no additional fee from either myself or paypal.
      You will need to contact your credit card company to ask why they have charged you this fee.
      Will wait to hear from you.

        But, for anyone else out there wondering:
        CLosethedeal appears to be registered with Paypal as a US-based entity, so if you use Paypal and a credit card that charges fees, you may get stung.

      My belts only fit me on the last hole, for some reason - and tightening past that point scrunches up my pants, so I'm not sure what's up, but that's ok - my waist won't be getting any bigger, and will drop soon anyway 😊

          What size guide? I didn't see one on the website (using my phone, so will be mobile site), and just clicked 82, because that's my size.

          I remember reading something here about the middle hole being the intended size.

          Where's the size guide?

          @RichardSydney: The description of the belts has the size guide in it in both desktop and mobile view. I also have it on another page here.

          Both state not to assume pants and belt size is the same.

          @closethedeal: just had another look and yes, you're right: my apologies. The belt fits, and no - I didn't measure my waist, my bad. I'll try find a tape measure and check the belt, if I can: but I wasn't after a replacement, anyway.

          @closethedeal: Just measured the belts - they're 80cm measured as per the size guide. The belt I ordered is 32" (81.28cm), so it's short by 1.28cm. However, like I wrote - it fits, so I'll keep them (and they're nice belts, despite being a bit short).

          I guess you just converted 32" to cm by multiplying by 2.5 (which would come to 80cm), instead of 2.54 (for accurate conversions).

          @RichardSydney: That's very strange, it would have to be one of the very few that's off. All the size 32 belts i have left in stock are within 81 and 81.5cm. Also my table cutting guide is at the correct conversion of 2.54cm to an inch.
          Im cutting them by hand so they might be off by a little bit. But i havent come across one thats more then 0.5cm off.

          @closethedeal: Nope - as I wrote before, I'm fine with them. And my waist will be back down shortly anyway (temporary increase due to medication side-effects :(). And also as I wrote before, the belts themselves are very nice.

    Received one brown and one black pull-up belt yesterday. Both have finishing defects—some crusty black spots / streaks at the end of the brown belt and the fold holding the buckle in place on the black belt is crooked, causing some excess leather to stick awkwardly out the top of the belt. Have e-mailed customer support, but no response yet.

    Received my order, quality is good but I was given 2x blacks and 1x brown when I ordered 2x browns and 1x black. Also ran a size smaller than expected.

    Size issue is likely my fault, I measured but maybe I didn't measure properly. Can I swap a black for brown though?

    Had the same issue. Ordered 2 blacks and a brown. Got 2 browns and a black. Sizes seem one size short. Ordered one 32 and two 30s.
    I am a size 30. Both 30s are unusable. The 32 I ordered was a black and was sent a brown.

    Quickly jumped on it as it was a bargain. Belt quality is definitely good. But overall it has turned out not such a bargain for me as I have ended up with one belt that I can use but not in the colour I wanted for that design.

    Same with me all belts too small, contacted the seller and their response was:

    It appears you didn’t read the description of the product before purchasing……………no exchange offered..

    The whole reason people buy online is convenience - sizing in AU should be enough, never had this problem with any other web site.
