Note - not Alice Springs - but AYQ (Ayers Rock) - direct to the Rock / Uluru!

Jetstar has had similar prices from Melbourne before, but this direct flight in December means you could have 4 days there, enough to get to Kata Tjuta, King's Canyon and of course, Ayer's Rock / Uluru. I'll leave the decision of climbing it up to you…

    Paid $70/day at AYQ and split with a mate.

    Hype around prices is from people getting stung by excess km charges, stay under 300km and it's fine.
