  • correct me if I am wrong, aren't they inferior to zx770? and zx770 were on deals around $150 in here.

Would heartily & happily recommend these headphones to anyone. I used to use ZX770 headphones until they got crushed under my big beefy VR laptop in a backpack, and by the time that happened these headphones were getting decent discounts at JB. I bought my CH700N for something like $250. I use my headphones for ~1hr a day (a bit on the train, a bit before bed) and rarely have to charge them. Noise cancelling on the train is a blessing. Great for VR immersion too - plug directly into the headset or bluetooth to the laptop, no issue at all and again the noise cancelling is amazing for that usage as well.

As per usual with these headphones, if you plug anything into them, you can't use the noise cancelling. Gotta be on bluetooth for that. Still not perfect, I guess, but it's close. Very close.

I have been using this headphone for about a week.

As far as the sound goes, I can't find ANYTHING wrong with it, from the casual listener's perspective.

It has clarity and has beautiful lows. I am not a fan of Studio headphones, as I don't think they enhance the listening experience for a casual listener. Studio headphones belong in the studio. They are too flat. I heard some Audio-Technica's and they were very uninspiring.

These are comfortable, not too heavy, don't look cheap, have NFC, brilliant EQ, loud sound (unlike some other Sony headphones) etc.

Now the NC is not the best of the best and even Sony do not suggest that. These are only good for low frequencies. They have active Noise cancelling, but you cannot adjust the ambience. But for me personally, when buying headphones….the sound gets 90% of the priority, additional features like Noise Cancelling get 10% of the priority.

I am sure there are better headphones out there, but I highly doubt that in this price-point you can get sound much better than this. Sound discernible by the human ear that is.

I could be wrong, but personally I won't be buying any other headphone for around 3 years or so.

Thanks OP, Ordered some. I looked at a lot of reviews and they appear very favourable for the price range

  • If anyone’s interested, they also have these on sale at the Qantas store for 26,870 points or $167.87 + 2000 points.

  • Been told these aren't even worth having on a flight
