That's rate is for digital goods, such as subscription passes, apps and games. Accessories are 1.5 percent.

The best price on ebay is currently $393.30 from AV great buys

      • It says 1.5% is only on phones and phone accessories. Is this classed as phone accessories?

When clicking through the store, these are in the accessories section not the the phone accessories section?

        Can anyone confirm - @tightarse

    • Or via Velocity for FF points :)

I would wait until they're around $349 or even $369 the typical ebay price…

  • +16

Not really a bargain since it frequently drops below $350.

Bought mine off a deal for about $300 after CR, that was a bargain

      • +17

come on dude, you can’t compare it to a staff discount. not everyone can get that

        • -8

It's only 10% up to $100. Basically the same as the NAB cashback

        • @anyeong: Never saw a sub $300 deal here. How did you guys find out about them? Would have loved some for that price.

        • @El Grande:

          1 example at least where i purchased my set from;
          Prime Deal

After cashback got it down to $306

Sure it isn’t the best price historically, but if you wanted to buy a pair right now, it’s not a bad price, even better if you can get the GST back via TRS.

      • +1

Left mine on a plane a few weeks back. Heading off again in a couple of weeks, so this + TRS refund is good enough for me.

      • +5

You're almost guaranteed to find a better price at any given time. About every week or two they drop to $370 or less and even now, I put a total of 30 seconds into searching and found them cheaper than this 'bargain'.

$393.30 from an official Bose reseller (instyle Home Theatre and HiFi) delivered in 5 days. Drop the price to $393.30 by using the code PENNY5 for 5% off.

The price OP posted isn't bad, but there's always a better price to be had with these.

      • Agree, this is not a deal. Cheaper elsewhere.

        • +1

Dont forget Cashrewards cashback on Microsoft site (5.5%) works out to be ~ $20 cashback. Cashrewards cashback on eBay this if you are looking to buy is about (1%) so ~$4.14.

        • Also worked out if you are going to buy and claim TRS you will be losing about $9.89 if you were to buy from Microsoft vs eBay

  • +1

I suppose the odds of these being genuine are 100%. Discount eBay sellers worry me…

    • +1

I grabbed some off an ebay seller. it was listed ~$370, (~$300 with a coupon & ebay giftcards).
turned out to be dropshipped from Bose Aust. So I'm guessing someone's getting an employee(?) discount & ordering on your behalf.

Historically the best price is significantly lower.

  • -4

The best deal at this time though.

    • +1

That should not be the criteria for posting on OzBargain.

I still remember when someone posted a PS4 Pro "deal" for $519 when that is just the RRP…

      • -2

That was actually the best price at that time though I'm pretty sure because I was keeping an eye on it.

        • +1

I should have added in the comment that deal was posted only a few weeks after the Pro was on sale for well below that.

My point is that RRP shouldn't be considered a deal. Or at the very least, it should not be considered a deal if the product was on sale in the recent past.

I can confirm you won't be seeing me posting a QC35 deal for $450 or whatever the second after this 20% off promo expires…

  • Does anyone know the mic quality for this headset?

    • It's good. I still prefer the Sony equivalent overall but the Mic on the BOSE is world's better than the Sony. I can comfortably hear people using it when I call them.

      • Sorry, did you mean, the other party can hear you just fine when you are using Bose QuietComfort 35 II mic?

As I have Audio Technica ATH-AR-5BT and the other end cannot hear me clearly

        • +1

People haven’t complained of the audio quality when I took calls over QC 35II. Haven’t heard it myself mind. Conducted hour long business calls with them once or twice when I needed hands free.

  • Can the student discount be applied?

  • Needs to be $100 lower!

    • That's been in my dreams only.

  • I don't know if it's just me but my Bose earphones sound much better then the QuiteComforts. I've even had better Sony headphones in the past but non of them have been noise canceling. A trade off I guess?

  • Last Amazon prime day I got it 350. Everything is good except the extremely poor bluetooth range. Very very poor in fact, far from Beat Sony or a cheap one.

  • Is there lag when you watch movies?
