  • Good price.

    • How'd u pronounce Indooroopilly? Indoor pool?

      • lol..my first guess was in-doo-roo-pilly..(based on how some aborignal words were pronounced), but apparently it's in-dro-pi-ly

        • +2

          In droop pilly
          Is how it's pronounced

      • +2

        in
        dru
        pilly

which turns out to mean 'gully of the leeches' in the local aboriginal dialect.

  • Anyone find that price on Melbourne?

    • Yeah. Sussed them myself today. Looks like only display models left though. Still not bad if you're looking for a cheap speaker for a bedroom or something!

  • +7

    $329, sounds legit.

  • +22

The RRP is laughable it's only sold for $80USD on Amazon US.

    • +2

RRP does look pretty extreme. Are those $90 Amazon ones new or used?

      • +4

Brand new of course. Even Harmon Kardon US is selling it for $100USD at the moment.

      • I know we used to buy them for $150ish at a Telstra store. The mark up to rrp was massive for Harmon

    • +12

      That's Australia for ya

  • There are two JBs at Indooroopilly.

    • +13

Can't be stuffed with their crappy carpark lol

      • +1

Omg it is so bad. Went there for Boxing Day sales once. Spent nearly 3 hours finding a park. Never again.

        • +1

Haha true, and I thought Garden City was bad.

  • -3

Where is it for $50…Is it in Melbourne.

  • +1

A friend picked one up at Westfield Chermside

    $329 RRP? puuuleaaaaaseeeeee.

    • +7

      You’re very polite.

  • Its Q stock and not enough stock to be posted on ozb

  • How cute.

  • +2

Both OP and JB-HiFi misspelled Harman Kardon even though it was written on the product…

    • +28

How the heck do you misspell Karma/Hardon?? Honestly.

      • +6

I know right, how hard could it be to spell Hardly/Klansman?

        • +5

I know, how hard is it to spell comingon hayley.

      • +12

I've had a few karma hardons in my day.

        • +2

Everyone know Hailey Baldwin. Good brand indeed.

      • +1

How the heck do you misspell Karma/Hardon?? Honestly.

lmao couldn't stop laughing! ahhh toilet humour never gets old.

    • +1

Mate I just copied what was written on the sticker my bad.

      • Do you have receipts? I’d like one but i need a receipt to show them in case it’s different prices in stores
        Thanks

    • haha, good one!

    • Harm on Kardon

  • +1

Good deal if you can find the stock~

    • Unicorn hunt.

  • +4

I have no doubt it's an awesome product but I have absolutely zero use for it (I'm past buying a bargain for the sake of it). Awesome deal for those looking for a portable speaker

    • +24

Either buy one and put it in a drawer like the rest of us do or hand in your ozbargain card

      • +1

Bought mine 3 yrs back, to be honest used 3 time only.. but awesome speaker

    • +1

Same. I'm not a teenybopper anymore. Not really into inflicting my musical tastes on the general public these days.

    • +5

      said no ozbargainer ever

      • +3

        Upvote because you're PAOK.

  • Is the sound quality any good? Was thinking instead of TV soundbar, a table top speaker?

    • +2

I doubt this could replace a soundbar for both output and connectivity.

    • Depends what soundbar you are comparing it to

  • It’s only got “good sound”.

    $50 sounds right.

  • -5

    Meh. It's $80 at Costco.

    • -1

      This is 30% cheaper

      • +13

        That's not how maths works.

        • -1

          So how does it work?

          Is this not 30% cheaper?

        • +3

          @spaceflight: It's closer to 40% less (37.5% cheaper). I assume they're suggesting youve done $80-$50 = 30% or something.

        • @Smigit:

          It's closer to 40% less (37.5% cheaper

          30% was a quick calculation.

I assumed they thought I meant the Costco deal was cheaper

        • Need a nerd to sort this out

        • @spaceflight:

          30% was a quick calculation.

and a bad one at that.

        • -1

          @CVonC:

          Thanks for the constructive comment!

  • I thought these sold for 2 million rrp, how cheap

  • I didn't know Harmony Korine had a line of bluetooth speakers.. :P

The amount of existential despair pouring out of those would be music to the ears.

    • +2

I never thought I would see a reference to Harmony Korine on Ozbargain. :)

  • So erm are these 2.0 ? and Are they Weak ?

  • +2

That nakamichi delta 100 there looks like a good deal. I bought delta 50 and it's amazing. 100 must be on a completely different level

  • +1

Was in Melvillle WA JB HIFI today and didn't have them there

  • inside shopping center or outside one?

  • Anyone have receipts? I’d like one but i need a receipt to show them in case it’s different prices in stores

  • Who here is hogging all 3 at essendon store?

  • Tried to get one in a Bris store at 11am today. Was told no Bris stores have stock, but the Kawana store had 4 left. Buuuutttt, when he rang they were also out of stock.
Seems to be very, very, very, very, very limited stock.

  • Just called JB at Indooroopilly (inside) & a super-helpful lady named Anna told me the last ones showing up in Queensland are:
    Mt Gravatt x1
    Pacific Fair x1
    Robina x2
She said her store also shows 1 but her manager told her they don't have any more so it's either an error or has been put on hold for someone already.
    Good luck!

  • +1

Called 9 stores in South East Melbourne, all either sold or stolen. Gg

[SYDNEY] Shows stock but they're out of stock in Chatswood, Artarmon, Macquarie, Wollongong, Castle Towers, Parramatta. Managed to get the last one from Ryde.

  • None in north Sydney

  • +3

I used to own one, whilst it's not the best bluetooth speaker, it's not bad at this price either. Some things worth noting:

    • This is not a portable speaker (even though they included a pouch in the box), there is no built-in battery. Considering there are other BT speakers of this size with built-in batteries, this is a let down for me.

    • On the issue of no battery, you'd expect this unit to pump out better and louder sound since it's not hindered by a built-in battery, whilst sound quality is fine, it is nowhere as loud as other units of this size and rrp price range.

    • The vibrations from the sub at the back of this speaker can cause the speaker to move when playing on higher volumes. I had to put a cloth under mine to stop it from falling off the shelf.

    • There is audible speaker crackling on when playing at max volume.

  • -3

I would check to make sure that this product is genuine.

  • I know HK speakers are kickarse, but this little small dude is it actually good? Thanks
