      Apply PENNY5.

      • Wouldn't it be cheaper to pay subscription than pay 5% more?

        • Not for many of the ones on strike against ebay plus.

This is not official xiaomi Australia. It's a seller named xiaomi AUS..
So far as I know, xiaomi doesn't have any official website for AU now.

That should be common sense I suppose but we never know, someone might actually believe it

BTW when I see a neg I know I have butthurt someone.

I ordered from this seller last week. Auspost tracking identified the seller as Gearbite / Best for Apple. So I'm pretty sure it's just the Gearbite/Shopro guys. Fulfillment and delivery was quick. Highly recommend.

Xiaomi's official website for AU? You're looking at it :)

    • Xiaomi is just opening a shop in Chatswood Sydney, I saw it yesterday.

The website they show in the window is ausmallxiaomi.com.au which is still all in mandarin, looks like they just redirected the website.

  • Just cheap, beat my best recent price I seen of $329, which is what I got one for a month ago.

  • Can anybody give us a basic review on this pls?

    • +2

Got one about 2 months ago for ~$360, very happy with it! It's meticulous with the way it maps a room and cleans.
Only problem is that its guaranteed to get caught on the tassels of our rug; I usually now just throw some pillows where the tassels are so it can't go over them.

For this price if you're after a robot vacuum I'd go for it!

      • Do you wish you got the one with mopping built in?

Basic Review: buy it from anywhere.
      Does a unbelievable good job.

Forces you to pick up everything from the floor that you did not have time to do.

      Cons:
Can fill up quick. for a large house (30sq and above) you will need to empty its container a few time.
Issue is it does not tell you "I am full"

      • Yes it gets pretty full even in an area say 6sq so I think it's better suited to apartments or townhouses

Mine does provide a notification when the bin is full. It actually does a great job reporting if there are any issues most of the time, although sometimes I get the notifications quite delayed (not sure if this is the system or my phone settings however).

If you would like your house to be regularly vacuumed while you're at work and are able to keep things mostly off the floor, this vacuum is fantastic. It does a thorough job mapping out your house, vacuuming everywhere it can and seamlessly returning to the dock. Just close the door of any rooms you don't want vacuumed, it will avoid small steps on its own.

The biggest surprise for me was how well it works around chair legs to get under the tables, and how much it manages to pick up even with regular vacuuming.

I use it upstairs in a townhouse with hard floors. I have to clean up the kids toys before I run it but its easy to run it once the floor is clear. I can't see it handling downstairs which is always messy so I use a barrel vac downstairs. I think it's perfect for an apartment or for what I use it for. I'm very happy with it because it saves me time and energy and the cleaning gets done more often.

It does a thorough job and I'm surprised about the amount of dust it picks up after a day or two of not cleaning. It's very smart does a great job around edges, in bathrooms, etc. It handles bathroom mats etc. fine and I find it only gets jammed up on kids socks which it can't really avoid. I never have to vacuum under our bed which is raised on feet so it can get underneath which is great. I probably have 1 in 5 times where it gets jammed up or doesn't go back to the dock but that's acceptable given the challenge of kids.

The filter is washable and I've bought another one for a couple of dollars from China off ebay because it did disintegrate a bit after I kept washing it. I wash it less now and just bash out the dust so I have to purchase less filters. The brushes are replaceable too if they wear down but I haven't got to that point yet only been using it for 6 months.

  • Does anyone have a good source of filters?

I bought one off Ebay for $3 but I wasn't happy with the quality - there was a small gap around the edge so it doesn't do a perfect job - there are many "knock-off" type filters out there and I'm thinking of purchasing randomly from a few sellers until I get a decent one

    • Was thinking the same. Keep me posted if you find a decent one please! :)

    • If you want to be handy you can do what I do. Buy a surgical mask / keep one from your local hospital after you visit. Open the mask up and take out the internal filters (should be 2 sheets). Cut to fit over the filter (don't change, just cover the filter with enough to clip over the sides. Did not effect the suction and is a great replacement. Change masks every 3 weeks.

    • I bought the replacement pack (two side brushes, two filters and the rotating brush) from Ali express for around 21-25$. They fit very well and have been using this awesome cleaning soldier for over an year.

  • Bought one 2 months ago after we got our dog (long haired border collie).

It does an exceptional job and our apartment (tiles and regular carpet in bedrooms) has never been so clean.

You do have to pick up cables, and small debris, but it's really intelligent with everything else and quite gentle on the house without missing a spot.

    Highly recommended, surpassed my expectations.

  • this product is amazing, Bought it a few months ago. love it

  • Got this over a year now. I set it up to clean everyday. 150sqm no problem. Bin cup is almost half full everyday. Just don't leave things that would entangle the robot.

I am really happy with it and no dust on the timber floor.(my foot can't feel it, not suitable for someone who is very picky)

  • It looks like there are some for $125. Scam, or legit?

    • +1

100% scam, someone mentioned in a previous deal they took the punt and got sent a 50c coin.

      • Even with 1k+ positive feedback?

  • My history of the robot.

    Still running..Cleaned 17k m2 and 352hours.

One filter and one main brush changed. Lazy to clean them and cheap to replace. Can't complain.

  • There is an official reseller in Australia:
    https://www.xiaomiaustralia.com.au/pages/about-us

"At Ausmall, we are the only authorised reseller of Xiaomi products in Australia. Based in Sydney, we are proud to bring you the Xiaomi products you love with Australian certification and Australian based warranty. With 1 year warranty and 7days guaranteed free return, we give you the peace of mind for you to try out Mi and join the Mi-Fans Family."

    *So they say.

I bought the first generation months ago, and I find it great. Very smart when creating maps and following routes. After a map is created, you have the option to select a specific area to vacuum (avoiding). The bin gets full because the vacuum is working (and I have a bad quality carpet and I can see the carpet filling the bin all the time doesn't matter how many times I vacuum the same place). If you set the vacuum to be more gentle, you will be able to vacuum a larger area without filling the bin so quickly.

My friend's expensive ($900, not sure about the model) iRobot is totally dumb when compared to Mi Robot.

      • Apparently its not Xiaomi themselves but a re-seller called Ausmall. They claim not to be affiliated to Xiaomi.

I am using a dyson vaccum which i have to use manually. Would like to know if this vaccum removes the need of manual vaccuming completely ? Also how does it clean under the dinning table and areas like that. Feedback is appreciated from people who are already using this. Thanks

  • The price stayed put for over a year now. Will it go under $300? or are they going to be discontinued by then :\
