  • I saw these at my local Bunnings and it was weird because the 6 port model was more expensive.

    Output of the USB ports?

    • +1

      the link tells you

2 x USB ports (2.4a) for fast charging tablets, smartphones and other mobile devices

      • Thanks man, I saw that on the officeworks page too "The dual USB ports provide a 2.4 amp output so you can easily charge your USB devices. "

    • +1

Both USB ports has an output of 2.4 A. But the power board has to be turn on to use those USB ports. This can be little annoying if you only want to charge your devices through USB ports but do not want other connected devices to be powered on.

      • Thanks for pointing this out

Won't pay more than $30 bucks for a surge protected power board regardless of brand.

Unless they have EMF and EMI filtering.
Which the old DSE boards used to.

If you were doing anything electrically sensitive, they were a godsend.

Havent looked into if these boards do or don't yet.

  • The link isn't working.

  • I’ve had this board before and I had to return it due to a ringing sound, coming from it.

      Did you try answering it?

      • i should've worded that better sorry. * a high pitch sound

That's the usb sockets. Had the same problem with other brands of power boards with usb sockets. Annoying if you keep them by the bed for charging stuff

        • @dangerdanger:

20 Hours Now, 7 plugs used, 1 USB Port used, no ringing.
I guess every product you buy, regardless of model or manufacturer, someone will have a problem somewhere.

        • @dangerdanger: oh ok thanks. had it on my computer setup near my bed and it was getting quite annoying. bought a $15 power board from kmart and it worked even better
