      If the taxes and fees are correctly calculated on the reduced price they would be reduced by 10% also.

      You might claim they are overpriced to begin with (I don't know) but the 10% seems legit.

      Lately, I've booked all hotels with Agoda. After discount, no one else comes close anymore now that cheaptickets have become so restrictive. Many places are also pay later with free cancellation. I've cancelled online with one click after deciding on a different hotel (or finding better price, also on Agoda).

      I'm sure they are awful of you need to actually talk to customer service, but that's the case for all these places.

        I've found booking.com to be much cheaper than Agoda almost 100% of the time, interesting considering they are co-owned

          Even after code? I've made lots of bookings the last year at various hotels in various cities (family visiting from overseas etc), and not once was the final price after discounts cheaper at booking.com. But I'll take a closer look next time.

          Agreed, booking.com has got much more competitive in recent years. I have found Agoda can be cheaper for Asian destinations though (they also seem to sometimes have a better range of options)

      I can't find anywhere to enter the code on the website or the app..

      EDIT: I swear this wasn't there before, but now there's a place to enter the code on the first page of trying to make a booking. Unfortunately, I get the message "This Promotion Code has already been used".

        Where did you find a place to enter the code? from the web or the App? I just could not locate.

        Also reading the T/C, it did say "10% off your next accommodation booking." Does that mean you only get it next time? This is weird.

    I use Agoda a lot and have found them easy to get a refund from using their best price guarantee. I often book a long time in advance at places that only have a few rooms or book out quickly so these often come on sale at some point, a simple screen shot sent through with the form and I'm refunded a few days later. This has saved us $100's and means I can book earlier so get the places we really want.

    Highly recommend Agoda. Have used them for 10 years and made about a hundred bookings and never once had an issue with them. The reviews on their site are authentic unlike booking.com which seems to have heaps of fake reviews. I can read the Agoda reviews and get a fair idea of what the hotel will be like, whereas I made some booking.com bookings in S America where the quality of the accomodation turned out to be wildly different from what the reviews said. They just negotiated a refund with a hotel for me for a booking I could not make that had a no cancellation refund policy. I pretty much booked with Agoda before anyway, ignoring a few dollars savings that may or may not be had on other sites, now no way am I booking anywhere else. Their phone app is fantastic for finding the hotel in non English speaking countries, they have taxi instructions in the local language, hotel phone no. and a map that shows location of your hotel and your gps location so you can navigate to it.

    This deal doesn't stack if the hotel is already discounted.

    Requires Debit Mastercard but it did stack with the hotel I booked.
