It kinks ridiculously, you get new kinks freeing up other kinks. Tried storing it in a straight line in the sun to remove any memory and nothing would work. The hose is also made of 2 different color rubbers one being black, so it heats up and perishes. It's a joke of a hose, i wouldnt even get a Nylex "kink" resistant hose again.
I actually purchased a couple of the hoses with a '10 rating' a couple of years ago now - see link below and they're the best hoses……you can't kink the hose even if you try. Our hoses are stored on a hose holder on the side of the house (in the sun), maybe this explains the differing feedback or perhaps there's a major difference between the '9' and '10' rating hoses.

From the negative posts I read about Nylex I am wondering what happened to the brand? Once upon a time, it used to be a great Aussie brand.
Once owned by the British (BTR - Nylex), now owned by Americans (AMES group).
I have this hose, its totally shit and kinks 9/10 times when theres no pressure in the hose.

That is a good price for a 30m hose with that kink rating. I havent got it but i can see a lot of complaints about nylex.
I have what is now the Pope Storm 35m with a lifetime gaurentee. Its not on the bunnings website but they do stock it.

It is about $140 but it has the crimped on fittings and is excellent. Never kinked on me and basically the longest hose on the market.
Mine is actually the Toro Storm, and got it on clearance a while back and then looks like it came back as the Pope Storm.

My old hose has split after so many years (10-12 years). I don't remember buying anything special (such as the level of kink resistance). Given the not so great reviews of this hose, has anyone tried the hoses from hoselink.com.au or hose.bargains?
