  • What version of bluetooth do the TT-BH22 use? It seems this key piece of information has been conveniently left out in the product listing. This will help me decide to pull the trigger or not.

Also what codes are supported? Aptx?

    • +1

It uses 4.2, I will add it to the listing.

According to this review, they do support aptX

      https://headphonesaddict.com/taotronics-tt-bh22-noise-cancel…

      • Thanks. Do the headphones come with an audio cable to use with the headphones when the battery goes flat for BT? And does the cable have audio/call controls on them and a mic?

        • +2

The audio, call controls, and mic are all on the headphones themselves.
It comes with a 3.5mm AUX Cable and USB to Micro USB Cable.

Not knowing if it had aptX and wanting to answer you quickly I googled it and the review I linked above said twice that it does, I have since talked to the rep who has informed me that they do not have aptX. Apologies for any confusion.

        • +1

@xev: Thanks for the update and appreciate the honesty. Aptx was a big one for me, so I'll have to keep looking for my ideal headphones.

        • +1

yes, they have a aux cable to connect to the headphones, and u get better sound quality,
when the battery is low, they don't warn u, it just go dead silince,
the cable only for listen to audio, no MiC

        • @xev:
thanks. just to 100% confirm it would be cool if someone who has the TT-BH22 could run this test to see if they connect with aptx or not? so many a couple of reviews around the place say they have it, strange

        • @yupyup: I went off the review I linked above earlier but have since heard back from the Rep who confirmed that the BH22 does not have aptx

        • @xev:

Great… I just ordered these yesterday.

          Hopefully the lag isn't bad

    • They dont support aptX codec. Wireless codec is SBC.

      • +2

I just got the TT-BH024 delivered - beyond happy with them for the price.

No lag watching youtube videos and they don't fall our of my ear which just about every other earphone does.

Sound quality bass isn't overbearing yet still able to handle.

Surprised on the build quality too.

        • That great - I too ordered a pair, hopefully I'll be as happy as you are.

        • +1

Actually ordered the BH22s as well - also surprised they are great.

Love how you can switch the NC on and off with flick of a switch any time music or not.

Mine didn't come with instructions or any other paper in the box though =(

  • can these be connected to 2 devices simultaneously? My xiaomi ones have the function and it's pretty handy to be connected to both laptop and mobile.

    • +1

      Yes, they can.

  • +1

any have apt-x? I've got your BT tx/rx, but with normal BOSE bluetooth headphones the lag on the TV is annoying,
I believe the apt-x fixes this.

    • +2

Aptx does not fix the lag but Aptx Low Latency (LL) does. Are these headphones Aptx LL ? My TaoTronics bluetooth transmitter/receiver just arrived yesterday and supports Aptx LL apparently

      • I don’t think they have any earphones/headphones with AptX-LL yet, only regular AptX.

      • +1

        it helps a bit.

anyway we'll see when they arrive and if they work.
if it still lags, then I'll look at sending them both back.

      • Any thoughts on using a pair of headphones to watch tv at night in the bedroom. So distance would be about 3m. I bought an Aptx transmitter for the tv, hasn't arrived yet, so not sure how I pair it to headphone.

Can I just plug a bluetooth receiver into my TDK NC50s, or will an aptx receiver cost more than the $50 headphones here.

        • well the Op has pinged me to say they aren't aptx compatiable. Alas I'd already ordered and it's too late to cancel (so I'm a bit annoyed).

I got the BT TX/RX last week (see link) and there's an annoying slight delay with non-aptx headphones (like Bose QC35) I'll have to go hunting for something else.

        • @supabrudda:

Saw these that you can add to existing headphones..

          https://www.amazon.com/TROND-Bluetooth-Receiver-Indicator-He…

        • @tunzafun001: ah thanks!

        • @supabrudda: Just FYI, amazon let's you cancel orders very easily as long as it's not been dispatched.

        • @Frukoz: I had to email them and they did.

I wouldn't say it's easy though, as their instructions about being able to do it from the orders page actually isn't true with stuff they ship themselves (there was no cancel order option….when digging a little deeper into the help about it, they confirm you can't and suggest you just need to refuse delivery which of course doesn't work in Oz, as they give the parcel guys Authority to leave so it just gets dropped on your doorstep.

          from
          https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/help/customer/display.html?node…

If your order was sold and fulfilled by Amazon AU, or sold by a third-party seller and fulfilled by Amazon AU, and can't be modified, you can refuse the parcel

        • @supabrudda:

Interesting - I've never had to cancel an order for amazon AU, but for other regions it's super convenient and easy to do. Hopefully they roll that out here too in due course.

        • @tunzafun001:
very tempting but $52 on Amazon AU

  • Ordered the TT-BH22 and got confirmation from Amazon but they never took money from my credit card?

    Should I be worried op?

    • +2

No, there is nothing to be concerned about. All these items are fulfilled by Amazon.

      • +1

        Thanks

    • +4

they take the money when item ships.

    • My understanding is that for items fulfilled by Amazon your card isn’t charged until the item is shipped (that’s how it’s worked for me in the past). Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

      • They ended up charging my card a few hrs later, I'm just used to instant withdrawal when I purchase on eBay etc

  • FYI - For the NC headphones, ReviewMeta.com showed a FAIL on Amazon Australia:

    https://reviewmeta.com/amazon-au/B075CBHN9M

However, even though it passed on Amazon US with a warning for unnatural reviews, the adjust rating stayed the same at 4.3/5:

    https://reviewmeta.com/amazon/B075CBHN9M

Probably worth a shot given the price.

    • +1

Just having a look, I not sure how current that information is. There are a lot of verified purchases on the page now.

A lot of people have purchased this from Amazon US, so wouldn't have verified purchases from Amazon AU.

      • Both Amazon AU and Amazon US received a PASS for the 'Unverified Purchases' test so that's not being questioned.

Amazon AU failed overall as unnatural reviews were detected.

  • Hi Rep,
How do you compare with this Active Noise Cancelling Bluetooth Headphones, Srhythm Foldable Wireless Over Ear Headset with Deep Bass
    https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07BFQH12Y
Both are within my budget and not sure which one should I go for, suggestions are welcome,
    thanks,

    • Unfortunately, I don't have those so would be unable to compare.

But these are currently $26 cheaper.

      • Do the TaoTronics TT-BH22 Active Noise Cancelling Bluetooth 4.2 Headphones come with a Airplane adaptor.

        • I don't think they do but you can pick them up really cheap on eBay and Amazon.

        • +1

@xev: Thanks eBay seem to have them pretty cheap.

        • @chrisie: Very, I've just ordered some myself even though I have no current plans to travel.

        • @xev: Thanks Ordered the TT-BH22
          Cheers

      • But these are currently $26 cheaper.

        No they're not - there's a deal making the Srhythm $51.00, so they're cheaper than the TT-BH22.

        • I just tested and it looks like that code has now expired.

You may be able to contact the rep and ask for a new code.

  • +2

Just ordered my TT-BH22 after been eyeing on them for a couple of weeks. Thanks :)

  • +4
  • +1

thanks xev, i've had my eye on the TT-BH22 since a few posts ago and finally picked some up

  • For Amazon Prime, I already used my 30-day trial.

Can I sign up one month now, then cancel and re sign up whenever I need it?

    • +1

      Yep

    • +4

Yeah you can. 1 month of prime is $4.99 but only until 31/1/19, after that it's $6.99.

  • How effective is the noise cancelling? How effective will it be on the train, street, work and plane?

    • +2

The YouTube Review by ASBYT in OP's post says he felt like it was 'around 70%'. I personally have the Bose CQ-35's at would call it somewhere between a 80-90% reduction.

    • +2

I've got these. I'd say only about 30-40%.

  • +1

Hey rep, how do you compare the three Bluetooth earbuds (the last three in your list) between each other? I know it will be subjective, but the prices are so similar that I'm not entirely sure what the difference will be besides the form factor (over ear) of the last one.

    • +1

also interested in xev's opinion? i'm trying to decide now. my summary so far is:
TT-BH07 - waterproof, slightly bigger earbud from pics?, has aptx, 6hr battery
TT-BH026 -only splashproof?, slightly smaller earbud?, doesn't have aptx?, 8/9hr battery
TT-BH024 -only splashproof?, earhook (may stay in better when running/exercising), has aptx, 8hr battery

      • +1

You have summarized it quite well. If you want further information check out the reviews on Amazon US.

    • +1

TT-BH07 will work for 6 hours, while the TT-BH026 & TT-BH024 will last for 8 hours.
The TT-BH026 and TT-BH07 are available in 4 colours.
The BH07 and BH024 support aptX.

      • All the same in terms of sound quality? Is there reasoning behind the usual price differences? Particularly the TT-BH07 vs the TT-BH026 as they seem roughly the same apart from the waterproofing being slightly better in the BH07 but with worse battery life. Are the build qualities comparable? And am I right in my understanding that the BH026 does not support aptX?

What is your return policy like? Can I order all 3 and only the keep the ones I like? Not sure how that works with ear buds given they go in people's ears.

        • +1

The sound quality is quite good on all, the build qualities are comparable. yupyup have summarised the difference quite well above

Fulfillment and returns are handled by Amazon so you would need to check their return policy.

  • can someone please tell me if the TT-BH22 sit on your ears or completely surrounds the ears thanks.

    • completely over and previous deal posts/amazon reviews rate as comfortable

      • thanks bought

  • +7

    Bought these headphones previously (TT-BH22).

The noise cancelling only cancels out a bit. Nowhere near the same level as the expensive headphones. Sound quality is pretty average too.

The headphones aren't bad, but only worth what you pay for IMO.

I believe the majority of those reviews are fake.

    • +2

Thanks for that heads up. I don't necessarily agree with the company's marketing method but it looks like it works. People think they're buying something that's worth more than the asking price when in fact that's not the case. Still bought the TT BH22 to experiment. Don't plan on owning any Bose or Sony NC earphones any time soon so might as well settle with these for now.

      • +1

Agreed, worth a try at sub $60 before venturing into higher-end models.

    • hows the comfort? some reviews say they are as comfortable and light as the bose, any truth to that?

    • Yeah, too much astroturfing for my tastes

  • +1

Dang! I just purchased the BT22 last week for the non discounted price.
Oh well, got the discounted BH07 to get over it!

    • any good for BT22?

      • +1

It’s my first ANC headphone. Other headphones I’ve tried sit on the ear whereas these completely cover it. I contemplated getting the Bose QC35ii but couldn’t pass on the price difference.

Quality is good enough for a non-audiophile enthusiast. Just hoping this lasts more than a year to justify the purchase. Very comfy.

  • OP, any deals on the TT-BH040??

    • Not for that one at the moment as it is through Amazon Global but Sunvalley are introducing more products into the Australian market all the time, so hopefully soon.

  • Do the hook earbuds come with different tips for the user to test?

  • +1

Anyone know if any of them has a good microphone - business grade via VoIP? If so, which one would be best?

    • If you read / watch the reviews youll see a few reviewers remark positively about the call clarity in both directions. I believe this applies to all the in ear models

  • +5

I've just bought and will compare to the $40 Bauhn 4.2 BT Headphones Aldi started selling today via special buys. $60 TT vs Bauhn, for the price range it's a reasonable comparison and I'll return one and keep the other in the end. Will post back thoughts on this thread.

  • What's the warranty like on the headset?

Also I have a gigantic head (bike helmets do not fit on me, nor do most hats), anyone else with a similarly large head have experiences with this?

  • Could anyone compare it to the similarly priced xiaomi bluetooth sport earbuds?

    • I got the bh07s and the sound is okay, they are comfy, and they fit well (my left one fits properly but my right doesnt, but that happens with all earphoens for me). I've done handstands, running, regular weights and they don't fall out. Bluetooth range is good although sometimes it cuts out if I've flexed my neck to the side where the control thingy is. THe only neg is that because the control thiny is on the right, more of the wire tends to congregate on that side. Otherwise great value, would buy again

  • +1

Nice deal, picking those bluetooth headphones up. :)

  • +1

bought the TT-BH22, might as well give it a go for $60

  • What's the size of the internal battery in the TT-BH22.

I don't much care for their claimed time ratings…

  • +1

"The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase"

    • +4

I'm an idiot I grabbed the wrong code…

  • how does the bh22 do with video latency?

  • +1

Time to dip my toe into the ANC world. Picked up the TT-BH22.

    Thanks OP

  • For the headphones, if the battery is dead, will the cable work for phone calls?

  • Nooooooooo. Just bought the TT-BH22 last week amd im an amazon prime member :(

    • Hahaha I’m in the same boat! Still a good headset for the $25 ‘premium’ that we paid.

  • I am not tech savvy so could someone tell me if these headphones will have a delay if using them for the TV?
Also could you have two pair of these headphones running at the same time on the same TV? I’d love to give the kids these headphones o keep the TV noise down……

    • +2

They will have a delay. Latency will be somewhere 100-200ms, even with AptX. If both headphone and transmitter have AptX-LL (Low Latency), latency can be reduced to 40ms, but none of these have AptX-LL.

For TV use, you're better off with one of the other types of wireless headphones that have a base station (eg. wifi or rf), or AptX-LL if you want to stick with bluetooth.

You can pair two headphones at a time, but you will need an appropriate bluetooth transmitter (your TV probably doesn't have that capability). You can get plug in transmitters that can transmit to two bluetooth devices at once. However, there are very few that do dual-link using AptX-LL, if you want to go that way. (Avantree Oasis Plus and Mee Audio Connect are two of them.)

Having said all that, if it's just for the kids, they might not care about the latency, so you might be fine.

      • +1

Thanks for the reply mate. Much appreciate the time and expertise

    • +2

I’d love to give the kids these headphones o keep the TV noise down……

Or for free, you can just yell out… "can you kids turn the TV down about 8000 decibels so I can hear myself think?!" :D

      • +1

I just turn the sound down from a distance and they get the idea. One of the reasons I love having phones with an IR blaster.

        • This. It worked until they turned teenagers

  • +1

Thanks OP. I have ordered the TT-BH22 to try it out. I have been wanting to get QC35ii but cant afford it.

  • Is it only possible to buy one per account with this code?
I bought one for myself then realised that it might be a decent present for fathers day, but I cant use the code now?

  • +1

Thanks op got TT-BH22 to try it out
