Sony MDR-XB950B1 Wireless Headphones $159.19 (Free C&C or + Delivery) @ Allphones eBay

For the Bass-lovers out there, these are a must-have pair of headphones. I've had these headphones in the past and they are amazing when it comes to the vibrant "in-your-face" bass feeling. With added Bluetooth and Bass-Boost functionality, these headphones at this price point are a huge steal (Original eBay price was AU $331.99). The eBay post initially states the headphones are AU $198.99 but if you enter the code "PARENT", you get an extra 20% off the already discounted price meaning you only pay AU $159.19 for the headphones (plus AU $8.80 for shipping which is still very cheap in total)

  • More bass than 1000X?

    • Somewhere between 15% - 30% more bass. I mean, these headphones are bass-oriented (with an included dedicated bass-boost button). The 1000X on the other hand, is more focused on noise-cancelling. It's also worth noting that the XB950B1's do not come with noise-cancelling functionality.

  • Damn I just forked out 30 cents on a pair of headphones last week.

On a serious note, tempting at this price but I have no clue when it comes to headphones and the 30c pair are actually pretty great.

  • How do they compare to these? Same just wireless?

    • My guess is that the MDR-1A has a more balanced sound signature (consumer-grade audiophile level sound). The MDR-XB950B1 on the other hand, is more focused on bass. And yes, the MDR-1A is wired while the MDR-XB950B1 is wireless (it does, however, come with an AUX cable for when you want it to be wired).

  • Some Sony headphones onsale in the Qantas store atm. https://www.qantasstore.com.au/p/Wireless-Noise-Cancelling-O…

Showing out of stock now I believe (FYI).
