    One way? Perfect.

    • Haha taking advantage of the situation

    • These flights are still two to three months away, it's just that you're getting into the winter there which is like far north Qld winter so not bad at all.

    There’s some $230.20 return flights in mid-late Nov

    • +1

      What dates? I can't see any…I am looking to fly end of Nov….

      • Mid to late Nov for returning flights when I checked.

  • plus food, plus baggage, plus seat choice each way…………

      Or don't worry about the seat, take carry-on (your swimming gear) and eat beforehand (departs at 7.15pm).

      • Yes, eat beforehand, then bring a cooked meal with you to eat 4 hours into the flight (max time it will stay good) - can be bought at airport before leaving (KFC/McD etc). It'll be cold, but big deal. And another non-cooked meal or snack (eg canned tuna) for the end of the flight. Not hard really.

        • and pay for the over priced Maccas and KFC at the airport?

          That doesn't sound very ozbargainish.

          @garratt torlesse:

          Didn't realise the ones at the airport are more expensive than the normal ones? Even overpriced fast food is still relatively cheap compared to costly airline meals, though. Will also probably taste better than frozen reheated economy meals.

        • Why take a cooked meal? I eat something nice at the airport (yeah there are actually some decent restaurants in Sydney airport) and grab some cold sandwiches and chips/sweets for the flight.

        • @MrZ: they aren't any different.

        • @Where's_That_Cake: fast food's the same price in the airport as the normal ones? I had no idea - didn't bother to check since I just assumed prices were gonna be marked up.

        • @tastycheeks: yup, same price

        • +1

          Wouldn't like to seat next to you with canned tuna in a plane 🤣🤣

        • +1

          @Where's_That_Cake:

          Obviously the price has to be consistent since it's a chain restaurant. Can you imagine if every McDonalds could set their own prices?

  • MEL to HNL also $199. Return flights expensive though from a quick look

  • nice

  • Any deals for family of 4 from 1/oct - 9/oct with accommodation under 5k?

    • That's not Oahu though, different island. Oahu has had a lot of rain and some flash flooding also but not on that scale. I've got a friend there now.
