  I have the 7490 as a work device and it's great, but I have to say the fingerprint reader is quite crap, only works 50% of the time.

  I have the 7390 and be aware that the 13" model doesnt have the screen technology of the 7490 (low energy screen). My manager has the 7490 and the lattery life is insane compared to previous models.

        @dr_ rusko: nah ive tried haha they screwed me around a bit when i paid for a xps 15 and then said they couldnt supply it coz the unit was having issues. I tried getting discount - didnt work haha

  Just bought the 7490 - great unit. Could not even tell it was a refurbished unit. BUT, had the i5-8350U in, instead of the listed i7-8650.
  I am happy with the 8350 though. They are still working out how to compensate me for this…..Also, I think the NVMe drives are worth it.

    I'm in the same situation, and Dell is investigating at the moment.

    What options did they give you? Return it for full refund, partial refund due to the CPU downgrade, etc. And what option did you pick and how long did the whole process take?

  Great deal, was looking at the 7389 for the USB-C power option - Latitude 13 (7389) 7000 Series 2-in-1 laptop i5-7300U 8GB 128G W10P $1,259 as a comparison. It isn't :)

  Need help deciding between this, dell xps 13 and 15. Very different computers i know. this one has a great price 1159

  then if you add a few hundred dollars on you can get the xps 13 with a better screen for 1459

  then add a couple more and you can get a bigger screen with 512gb of storage and 16gb of ram with gtx1050 for 1959

  I bought one of these, it's a tidy machine

  Compared to the XPS 13, the touchpad isn't as nice, and yes the fingerprint sensor is useless. Very light though at 1.2kg
