      They don't want the competition. They know their course doesn't work; either because it's flawed, success requires significant luck that can't be easily reproduced, or because most people are lazy and won't follow through.

      It's the same as those 'self-made millionaires' offering courses on how to get rich. If everybody is rich, nobody is. They got lucky or had a trust fund to help them get there. They're selling people on the dream, knowing full well the vast majority won't succeed, and those that do would have got there without the course anyway.
