I don't recall these being difficult or confusing…

Google should translate the page for you anyway

  • Do these actually work?

    • +1

      Much better than I thought.
I have a weird dead spot in my room, and I got this with the hope that I'll attach it to the wall outside my door and it'll work.

It actually seems to work within the dead spot, and connecting to it seems perfect. It's odd, because Google home, laptops, phones etc.. all seem to struggle in my room, yet this thing has no trouble connecting to WiFi

Only issue is powering it where you want it

    • This works well for me. One weird item though is that my samsung tv upstairs had difficulties connecting to it initially. From an online search, I took special characters off the network key and it now works well!

  • Question: If I pay via Paypal in AUD, will there be an international fees associated with this transaction?

    • Yep, your credit card will charge international fees.. and paypal use it own terrible conversion rate, best to use usd with fee free card

  • Says "1505 sold, -305 left", but states "in stock", and finalised my order without error at same price posted by OP.
    We'll see - fingers crossed ;)

    • just got an email advising it has shipped! woohoo

  • does this need to be plugged into the router for set up at all? from the video it looks like no, my current router doesn't have a usb port

    • +1

No. It will connect to the router via wi fi. you can plug it using a phone charger or power it via your laptop. i have this plugged in to my router because (a) my router sucks and (b) i don't like the thought of having a device left plugged in the whole day. but again, there are other options :)

    • +1

Nope, all done via mi home app

  • worked for me, getting signal into the parents garage for a LifX light… however I'm a huge fan of mesh network routers… So I would suggest only using this as a short term patch up job until you invest in an Orbi or Google wifi etc.
