Just bear in mind this is slower than the RX570 that chibot posted for $200 (which is not low profile and it does need a 8-pin PCIE connector). Only buy this if you can't fit tall GPU's into the case or you have a weak PSU.

Agreed. The main reason for purchasing this GPU, would be if you recently picked up a Dell OptiPlex 9020.

  • How do you fit a 16x card into a 4x slot? Is it physically a 16x length slot with a 4x capacity, or is it a 4x slot with an open end or do you need to get the dremel out?

The Dell Optiplex Board has a 4x and a 16x PCI Slot.

The GPU fits into the black 4x PCI Slot (which has an open end)

      • Is this only for the 9020? Because I don't recall this being an issue when I installed a 1050ti LP in my 9010.

        • yea 9020 16x at bottom slot won't fit as gpu hitting the psu, not enough clearance

9010 no problem with 16x at top slot

    • The Dell 9020 has an open end 4x slot… I've got a 1050 (not ti) low profile in my 9020 - works well!

  • I have a HP EliteDesk 800 small form factor desktop would the ASUS RX570 fit it or should I get this card?
I think I just need the half height end?

You'll probably need a compact card

You also need 400~450 watts of power for the RX570, something that your HP PSU cannot provide.

      • Thanks Scrimshaw so this card would be good value? Not a really a gamer more for occational playing around with blender :) and image video editing….
        Thanks again…

it should suit your purpose fine

  • Was looking at one of these recently for an Optiplex 780 but think it will be rate limited by CPU

  • Just incase this helps someone:

For those of you with an Optiplex 990 SFF PC, this card will fit in the 16x PCiE slot (run full speed) as it has a different motherboard than the one mentioned in the post above. These are easily found on ebay (example link below) then put a small SSD in there for the OS and you have a very powerful little HTPC/1080p Gaming PC that will also emulate anything you want including Mario Kart 8 at 1080p 60Fps:

Here is a picture of the 990 SFF motherboard:
