        yeah, the problem is a lot of people are used to seeing these products with free shipping or ~$2-4 priority shipping from China at a cheaper price.

        Can I be so bold as to suggest that you increase your product price, lower your shipping prices. and hammer home your advantage over the Chinese competition - e.g. "get it quicker", "local stock", "local service"?, Do you give a local warranty?, Does your shipping include tracking? (so it doesn't get "lost")

        you can't compete with Banggood/ALiExpress/Gearbest/etc on pricing, but you can beat them on delivery speed & local customer service.

    Shipping is calculated using eParcel rates. It will be more expensive to some areas, but is the cheapest shipping we can offer you.

    We lose money shipping these items to Adelaide for free for example.

      $7.45 for a 500gm parcel through AusPost Business account (not eParcel)
      The cost is also flat rate anywhere in Australia it may just take longer for some regions.

      Not sure why you are paying for a worse rate through eParcel??

        You have buy them in bulk beforehand. While eParcel you just have pay for label per order so no upfront fee apart from item sourcing cost.

    People are so use to free shipping any shipping charge will be "too high", 1 rechargeable desklamp + 1 bulb shipping to sydney is $6.28 is quite reasonable i think.

      Agreed it's reasonable, but as an example, I bought a $1 gadget from China the other day with free shipping, and it arrived with $1.40 worth of stamps on it. No way can locals compete with that.
