      Why? Dell have this advertised $169 including $30 off in there latest print flyer. But if you go on line it shows up as $148.98 after $30 discount. Even better deal.

      No offense intended dude BUT you need some education on LCD technology.

      This monitor and all LED monitors are still LCD's (liquid crystal display)

      LED is a reference to the back lighting type of this LCD monitor.

      Cheers and once again no offense intended as many people misunderstand the whole LCD/LED thing.

        They(marketers) intentionally try to confuse basic consumers to dupe more money out of them for the latest and greatest whizz bang 'innovation'.
        Therefore, backlight LED is not true LED because it is using a regular LCD panel.

      original price is $178.98. $30 cash back is valid until 10 March. You must be looking at the wrong monitor.

      Weird. If you go to the monitor listing page it is still showing $149, but if you click on "Product Details" it says $223.30 (which is wrong). I'll fix the link above.
