This is a run-out model (replaced by the VPL-EX70 and VPL-EX100), currently on sale at the Sony Central store at World Square, Sydney for $999 (was $1499). So, if Sony themselves were offering it for that sort of coin, I suspected I could probably do better….

    Data projector though. Not really home theatre model.1024 x 768 resolution. Import projector from usa or Japan for a little more and can get entry level full HD.

    I would rather get full HD video projector for my room than a data projector..

    for $622 for a data projector still expensive IMO and would rather spend $300 on a 24" 1080p monitor.
