    $659 + $57 postage.
There's a $10 off postage coupon for that too, so $706

Good deal. If it can ship to the United States for this postage, I will buy one immediately.

        whatt, usa bargain?

        • -1

both of them are Australia bargain, not for USA

  • hasn't this now been replaced by the 600D ?

    • +2

No, the 600D is yet another addition that fits between the 550D and the 60D.

      http://www.dpreview.com/previews/canoneos600d/

Not really much difference besides the articulated screen. The only thing that caught my attention is the built in wireless flash radio :)

Also not sure if the 600D is for sale yet?

Oh FYI, the Kiss X4 is identical in features to the 550D. But it only has Japanese and English languages (whereas the 550D will have all the euro ones).

        Un-true.

The 600D is in fact the replacement model to the 550D not a new product line up., however not a huge upgrade, I was at the canon au product launch last night playing with the 600D. the AF feels abit faster compared to the 550D.

But Yes you are right, canon said the first samples just got in last night, it is not for sale yet.

i agree with "addo", it appears to be replacing the 550D

    • Its a huge difference, I have used a mates 550D it is a great little shooter. Not sure weather it is worth the extra $250 for the 600D. I might wait, I am not traveling till September and wont need it till then. I suspect as stock of the 550D dries up the street price of the 600D will drop, or come with a better lens offering.

  • I like Lumix GF2.no deal on the market yet….

  • Have been looking at this camera for a while. However, has anyone dealt with them in terms of warranty purposes? How 'pleasent' are they? Thanks

  • Canon stuff has international Canon warranties (unless you get a third party extended warranty, i.e. Mack or similar) - so makes no difference where you buy it - you take it to Canon.

Of course, double check that before buying, but that's how all the Canon gear I've bought has been.

    • that only applies to lenses, not cameras…

Sorry if I'm not supposed to post links to other companies… I don't know, but compare to http://www.dwidigitalcameras.com.au/store/product.asp?idProd… - same thing, $659 + postage etc.

I have bought from DWI and DigitalRev, not had any problems. http://www.d-d-photographics.com.au/ worth a look too… they have store front in Brisbane, where I am, and Sydney, meaning you can usually get cool stuff same day or next day!

  • Bought on January $710 with 18-55 kit

    What are the7 gifts

    • From city wide online,

  • If canon keep adding "50" to the name every time the new model released, what will happen if it reached 950D?

    • +5

Based on their current naming scheme…

In America it will become the Canon 95000D Ultra Decimator VI, then the 95000D Ultra Decimator Extreme "Photo Killer" XII.

In Japan it will become the Canon Happy Bubble, then the Canon Joy Bubble.

In EU and AU, it will simply be the 950D MK2, then 950D MK3.
