          @smurfstah:

OK thanks for the info - yeah there's not much price difference per pill really.

          @smurfstah:

Swiss sucks, its Chinese owned now

        • @lyork: yep which is why i switched to ON a while ago.

    • I bought the life extension advanced packs, from 95 bucks down to 56. It has like 5 products in 1!

  • Cheers OP, grabbed some multis and preworkout. the gst sure is the killer though.

  • iHerb has inflated prices to begin with, and with the GST it really is only 20% discount. They run 10-15% off brands every week but this is stackable.

    I managed
    25%
    5%
    10% brand of the week
    3.5 Cashrewards
    10% loyalty

53.5% discount, but they charged GST so 43.5% discount.

    That's good
    A example however
Life extension advanced multi packs sell on eBay for 50usd
I paid around 56-58aud on this sale

It saved me 10 bucks, so not exactly amazing

I did buy greens powders which have all been hacked up to 95-105 bucks a kg but the shipping is a killer so it's ideal from iHerb.

2 of the brands Source and Life extension are brands of the week and high quality

21st century and other brands mentioned are very basic vitamin brands.

Life extension uses the best forms or vitamins, Swiss which is now Chinese owned uses less bio forms and costs more(figures)

iHerb rarely does these kind of sales, even the 22% off was high. Australia is a huge market 100% the fact that it's free postage for a 5kg order or 2 bucks for DHL tells you how much volume they do here.

I think the GST hurts alot of businesses, and even makes me wanna buy less

End of the day I save money lol

  • I've never purchased from iherb, is it a very legitimate site? What are the delivery costs like? I've read online about people saying there's hidden fees

    • +1

      Free postage generally
      And yes it's legit.

No hidden costs, our dollar is low atm. It's not a great time to buy anything when you lose 30% automatically to currency.

  • Thanks OP. Stocked up on a year or two of MusclePharm stuff. Absolute bargains!

  • Was not going PayPal, so paid via credit card. Anybody else experienced this issue?

    • Yes, PayPal seems to be in an endless loop!

iherb say they have not received the money from PayPal and from PayPal's end it's an Authorisation type, so they are waiting for iherb to process and take the money… have re-run the the process several times, but I may as well be banging my head against the wall!

My order was placed last night

      • Was this your first order?

I did a live chat with I iHerb at 5am this morning (I placed an order a couple hours before). At the time of my chat, my order was marked as 'Processing' with a messaging regarding a lack of PayPal payment. My PayPal account had the payment marked as Pending/Authorised.

The rep told me that there had been issues with the site. They checked my order, and said that iHerb had "accepted the PayPal authorisation" and that my order will ship in 24 hours.

I just checked now, and whilst my PayPal account still has the payment marked as 'Pending', and I still receive the message regarding the lack of PayPal payment, my order now has the status of 'Fulfilling'.

Maybe, as it is my first order, iHerb don't finalised payment until the order is shipped (à la Amazon)? But who knows?

        • +1

Iherb doesn't charge before the shipment.

        • @baldur:

Thought as much. Thanks for confirming.

        • Nah, ordered many times with them. Definitely not the first order.

Mine also looks similar to what you described and is marked as "fulfilling"

I sent them a message earlier today (to just take my money) via their web form as the Chat queue was too long.

They are normally really quick to process orders to the "shipped status" so I assume they've got issues processing payments or are inundated with OzBargain orders!

  • Code still works!

    • nope, it is showing on the cart, but on checkout it is gone

  • Obviously a HUGE number of orders hitting iHerb in the last few days as usually my orders ship within 12 - 24hrs and currently it's at 45hrs and still not shipped.

  • Still waiting for the shipment.

    • Yes it's been shipped finally.

  • Bloody hell. Ordered 16/09 and just picked up from my auspost parcel Locker. Not bad!!
