For example dates in March/April of next year.

April 1st at 5.30pm is $136 with Club Jetstar.

April 6th coming back at 4.25pm is $74.82 with Club Jetstar.

Without Club Jetstar it's another $28.

Club Jetstar is $49 for registration, fee waived for first year. Even without it it's a great price.

Deals available on other routes too, eg Sydney to Chch, or Syd to Auckland.

  well you can't link directly to the individual flight deal on jetstar's site. So you do have to enter the flights manually (thus the dates described in the post)

    What he might have explained is that the links on this page both give an "access denied" error.

These seem to be good prices; a bit of competition on the route and this happens.
