    Sounds great. If it was this price all the time I'd get one every time I travelled. Not sure what the coverage is like though, but I guess that's the risk you take.

    Question: I know you can leave it on the shelf with no time limit, but once the sim is activated is there a time limit?

      Like any other sim. It's 1 month then you'll need to recharge if you want to continue to use it.

      Thats correct, as other community members have stated it has 30 days time limit,
      then you will need to recharge

        Once used for the 30 days is there a time limit to recharge again? IE if I use it now, then only travel again in 6 months, can I recharge it in 6 months to use again?

          I believe the Three sims require you to use it once every 6 months or so otherwise they deactivate it. Keep in mind you won't be able to recharge unless you have a UK credit card or you buy a recharge voucher when you are in the UK. The workaround is to buy it from a 3rd party site like mobiletopup or probably eBay.

          Then again, might just be easier to order another sim in 6 months at this price.

      We have some preloaded stock, which means it activates the moment you insert into your phone.
      Once we finish them we will sell the sim cards that require top up.

      If your order doesn't ask for a activation date, your getting the preloaded sim :)

        I ordered and didn’t specify the activation date but got an email today saying there are no preloaded ones left and to provide an activation date.

        I don’t have a date yet as nothing is booked so have asked for a refund but then got an email saying item had shipped.

        Very frustrating not knowing what I’ll be getting.

    I have a 3 sim and it is indeed great :) However reloading can be a problem as 3 will only accept credit/debit card payments from cards with a UK address… as a once off though a good deal.

        I would recommend you purchase multiple as it works out cheaper in the long term.

    I noticed switzerland isnt covered, does this mean I wont get any connection? Or will I have to pay for a connection whilst traveling through? Also what happens once you hit the cap of 12gbs? Do you immediately lose connection or does it charge you for the excess you use? Thanks!

      Hey mate,

      Switzerland is part of the roaming countries, i have just updated it in the list.
      If you max out your 12GB, it will loose connection and to continue you must purchase a top up.

    Just FYI, i purchased a 12 gig 1 year expiry sim from these guys a few months before travelling O/S. i put sim in at heathrow and its been working perfectly ever since (am on it now).

          So we are sending blank sims and top up the correct bundle accordingly.

          The date can be changed and topped up anytime you please.

    Thanks OP, Like this deal, but prefer if Malaysia is included (being stopover country). So, was checking your O2 sims as well. From memory, O2 worked in Malaysia. Could not find the list of countries for the O2 sims. Can you please provide a pointer to that?

      O2 only works within selected countries in the EU and UK.
      Malaysia is not supported with any of our current sims.

      Regarding O2 they are some price changes, so we are working on it and hopefully a deal should appear very soon.

        • No shelf life, so if bought as spare, it would work even in a couple or few years time?
        • When asked for activation date, simply make one up, if no confirm dates yet?

          • It doesn't apply to the 5GB, just the 12GB at the moment, however give it a shot with the same discount code it might be work.
          • There is not shelf life, you can definitely use in a couple of years time.
          • put today date and we will leave it blank for you, till you confirm.
          • So once top up is applied, your activation occurs from that point onward.

    I bought a SIM on a previous sale and the activation date was supposed to be today :( Inserted the SIM and telling me to top up….. Can't see anyone else having this issue so hoping it is isolated or something. Sent an email and facebook chat to customer support but still twiddling my thumbs waiting and hoping they respond before I need to go to the airport…….

          Not at all champ,
          Top up is done by us in specific me.
          All you have to know is the exact date you ant the 30 days to commence for the sim card.
          Once you give us the dates, we will top up/ activate accordingly which happens instantly.
          They just turn data roaming via settings on and they should be good to go.
