    Do they prevent incarceration ?

    • -2

      Theoretically yes…

    • I've no idea why this question got negged?…
      Seems legitimate to me.

  • OP, your advertised prices must include GST.

    https://www.accc.gov.au/business/pricing-surcharging/display…

When you present prices to your customers, you must state the total price of the good or service as a single figure, which is the minimum total cost that is able to be calculated. This should include any tax, duty, fee, levy or other additional charges (e.g. GST or airport tax).

      Hi Alvain,
      Thank you for your comment.
We usually distribute our products to other businesses hence GST was displayed.
We have taken GST off from this product.
      Kind regards,
      Sam

  • There is an extra 5% discount coupon available to bring the price down to $33.25. Click "Want a Deal?" on the right hand side panel to reveal it. OP does not seem to want it included here.

    • To be fair to the OP, that "Want a deal" probably isn't around all the time. ie. There some days, not others. It looks a bit transient :)

All these belts are just a gimmick.
    No they wont prevent incarceration.
Risk of incarceration is less than 2% and it depends to many many factors.
    Most common questions
    - what is the size
    -Is it omentum only
    -Is it omentum + bowel

Bottomline: You need surgery to fix the hernia

    • Exactly

      As a medical professional

The only time these have ever been used in practice is for the elderly whom operating is not ideal (i.e. Anaesthetic risk, high infective risk, co-morbidities) etc. etc.

Moreover, even after a successful open/laproscopic +/- Mesh repair, the risk of reoccurrence can be up-to 50% (dependant on location (i.e. whether inguinal, femoral, ventral etc. etc.)

Of course, but what do you do while waiting for surgery? It's not much fun having to hold a part your digestive system back inside your body while you're upright.

GP suggested to me a belt before I decided myself on surgery.

Finally what i was after. I have busted a gut trying to get one of these.

Having had surgery for inguinal hernia, I'd suggest this is a great product in the interim, to provide relief from discomfort associated with the hernia.

It is certainly not a long term fix, but I used an ad hoc solution which was far less effective that what this presumably delivers.

Completely unsure if this is a bargain per se, but I think it's great to spread awareness at minimum. For such a common problem, I found it very uncomfortable and not much on offer to help.
