Cool price. With cash back would make this the cheapest up till now .

  • ffs why do people post mobile links?

    • Not sure what you mean.

      • The m.alie….

        • Ah… I get it.

    • +1

They're using their phone to make the post and copy/paste the web address from their mobile browser?

    • Yeah can be found much cheaper. This is not really a deal. I was going to post this price half hour ago, but wasn't sure about CR policies.

Edit: Yeah, GST is added at checkout. Sorry fchis

      • No worries.

    • +1

You posted the same link as mine. Mine includes GST.

  • No band B28?
Good price, but I m with Optus… pity.

    • -1

no NFC either , I want to be able to pay for stuff at checkouts and use to get cash from ATM if wallet isn't handy….also pity, why are offered these lobotomized phones at $400+ …. its 2018 not 2016…..even my old LG has band 28 and NFC and it's 2 years old.

      • +2

in China, they use Wechat or Alipay to pay for goods mostly so most of their phones don't come with NFC.

        • I think moving forward a lot more people will begin using their watch for tap to pay. Makes more sense than using phone.

        • +3

@Ronnnie: My phone tells the time, why would I need a clock strapped to my wrist!

        • @Ronnnie: I haven't worn a watch in years. Makes more sense for me to use the phone I'm carrying anyway rather than buy and wear a smart watch. Having said that, I still use the stuff that they make at the Mint.

        • +1

i know, but i want a phone for australia not china, so wechat is useless as i don’t speak chinese and coles and woolies and banks don’t use alipay ….

      • Do you get proper CC points with NFC-pay?

      • u will find out how far behind aussie technoligies are used in daily life compares to china now,if you got a chance to go there on day, all you gotta carry for the day is a mobile phone,no walet,no key,no bank cards. was quite surprised last time when i short visited for a week.

        • -2

Yes but their government has full control of their daily life with credit rating system which can destroy their lives by simply a click of a button. Would be nice to have similar techs in Australia tho :)

        • +1

@fchis: don’t expect ur privacy is protected in China.

But think another way, no one cares how much money in your bank if u r not trillionaire.

        • +1

@fchis: as of july the banks and credit companies now freely share your credit history, they don’t ask you any more, so if late paying bills or credit cards they know ….

in china credit info is shared with government, in australia it is now shared with 180+ financial institutions, downloaded and used at will ….

that is why when you log into your online banking they have a new term and condition letting you know your financial history is being shared.

      • It s good to see cashless is going forward .

      • This was never designed for Australia it's got nothing to go with the phones age wait until you use it the SD845 is cutting edge it's the fastest mobile device I've ever used.

    • @pzhoon My Note 5 No band 28 works with Optus and Telstra
      Great prize for a SD845

      • How’s ur 4G network speed? Such as downloading and uploading

    • No Telstra 5g no Deal!!

    • This is no where near as bad as people make out see here:
      https://imgur.com/a/unyhLT1
That's with Poco F1 country NSW

      • Indoors?

        • Yes a concrete building

  • Link not working for me

  • +1

Worked out to AUD $467.40 @ 28 Degrees.

    • Added to the description even though the final figures may still go up and down once settled via 28degrees card. Cheers

  • I selected dhl shipping it went to 493 with nab card

    • Why would you used a NAB card when everyone is using 28degree, Citibank and Bankwest. OP was using a no fee international transaction card(28degree).

      • Bcoz i dont have those

  • Travelling to overseas in two months time, hopefully they will have abn shown on the tax invoice

    • +1

You can download the invoice from my order page. gst included.

      • But Does it show the ABN number? TRS refuses if there is no ABN number showing on Tax Invoice.

  • What's the difference between this one amd the $447 one https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/403165
    may I ask?

    • +2

Works out cheaper with this deal using Cashrewards

  • How long is shipping?

    • 1-1.5 months I'm guessing

  • bought!

  • So tempting, but I'm holding off and sticking with my RR Redmi Note 5 until the development community is fully up and running on the F1.

  • was about to pull trigger but wont arrive in time for TRS :(

Only US$14 difference you get 128gb. Why buy this one? I am jsut wondering….

    • I think with the Cashrewards refund, this works out to be ~$410 AUD delivered from my calculations. Correct?

  • Why does 28degrees have $472.01 as purchase

    • I guess fluctuations in exchange rate. I got the exact same price even though I paid in USD when checking out.. I purchased @ 11:30pm. OP probably purchased when promotion started a few hours prior.

      • about the same time as me. Oh well

        • Should look at the Mastercard exchange rate Mind you its for US timezone, today it would have been $469.01 and yesterday $473.62 but its heavily dependent on timing of when transaction is settled. I was expecting $467 as from Xe.com but I guess ppl who got that price purchased before 9pm AEST time. when we purchased ours later, stock markets on US east coast would have started trading and more chance for exchange rate to change. So $5 out of pocket, not too bad.

  • Wish this had band 28 :(

  • anyone get their phone yet ? think mine is already in the country somewhere.

    • Still waiting here. Definitely left for Australia. Hasn't appeared yet though

    • I got mine late last week. When you get yours, can you please test if "Double tap screen to wake" works? The setting is on Settings => Display. It's not working for me.

      • +1

My double tap to wake works

    • Anyone else got theirs? I'm still waiting. Getting worried now

      • I’m still waiting..
        As well

  • Still waiting

    • Yup - in the same boat… I'm gonna wait one more week but then it might be time to test out aliexpress buyer protection…
