        Both have ISO 6425 Certification because the dials say DIVER's. The Samurai's appeal is increased by being a Professional Association of Diving Instructors Limited Edition. Also the price reduction is greater for the Samurai and stainless steel straps are generally more expensive than the silicone adorning the Prospex. It seems neither product page discloses which movement is inside. If both watches feature the same movement, my opinion is the PADI is a better bargain.

      Watch companies nearly always get the watch+strap combo right. It will arrive soon; wear it a week or two before spending extra on a replacement. You might end up appreciating it and saving money.

      A few weeks ago, I was in the same boat as yourself and trying to decide. After a lot of research I found the Seiko SRP691J which is considered to be the male sizing variant. The easiest way to decipher the difference is to see where the date/time complication; the male variant does not overlap the 3 o'clock position.
      FYI - currently wearing the SRP691J and is my daily driver. Stunning watch and sits perfectly under a shirt and blends well with near anything that I wear.

    Would the Seiko Prospex Samurai Auto SRPB99K PADI not be suitable for a guy with thin wrists? I'm 6"1 but only weigh 68kgs thus have reasonably thin arms and wrists.

      I'm 1.8m tall and 73kg and it just fits my wrist, though like the other person said, it depends more on your wrist circumference and shape. I believe mine are 17cm. Most jewellery shops that sell watches have this watch in my experience. Your best bet is to go down and try one on just to confirm.

    thanks! got the Citizen Eco-Drive Chrono CA0590-58E , looks nice and solid, I ended up checking Edifice too cause they look very nice, but this Citizen looks a good compromise for everyday use being classy and sporty at same time.

      Bought the Citizen Eco-Drive Chrono CA0590-58E, and got it in less than 5 biz days.
      Arrived with all boxes and packaging.

      Watch looks same if not better than in photo, easy to operate (still reccomend to read the instructions), belt is easy to adjust without tools (I used a blunt sewing needle, just push according to the arrow), I have a medium wrist and watch sits well.
      It's on the heavier side and is big but not too big.
      Chrono easy to operate.
      Only downside is, while red and black is a very stylish pattern of Colors, makes this watch not easy to read at night (I honestly assumed was coming with some kind of lumen), but this is really hating to point out something.
      I'm very happy, feels definitely a pricy watch well crafted.
      I got it as an everyday watch, and is better than I was expecting.

          Definitely was my bad about the Lume, i didn't notice and didn't actively search for info about that(and missed your note in the description),

          And going in details is not even about lume, is the fact the arms don't contrast much from the background and in dim light it require a bit to angle the watch reflecting enough light to see the arms.
          Probably a brighter red line or thicker is just what would have helped here.

          But this is really trying to pick on something.

          I really like it as it is.

      That is not an easy watch to find. This similar model featuring rose gold and batons is reduced from the Japanese equivalent of $684. I suggest the SSA250J is more masculine because its gold is yellow, and more distinguished because Roman numerals around the Open Heart afford greater refinement than batons. Yet the dial is less busy due to fewer minute indices on the periphery. $269 is indeed excellent value for such a distinctive Open Heart Automatic with a sapphire glass window. Such an opportunity may never recur.

    Is the SNE499P PADI a good price to buy now? It's only $10 diff to the SRPB99K PADI and it's a quartz, but I've always wanted a tuna can altho this is not a real one. Any suggestion guys?

      Be detached. The right decision will come to you. I cannot find a lower price for the SRPB99K and Shiels currently charge $775. It is most unlikely this PADI Limited Edition's price will reduce. A timepiece of this calibre may well become a family heirloom.
