"ipad 3: so thin it does not exist", somebody wrote under the video of iPad 2 release conference. iPad 2 is dramatically (33%) thinner than fist-generation iPad, 8.8mm thick namely. Some fans worried that it is too thin to hold safely. So maybe this soft silicone case is good choice.
And l'm truly shocked when I noticed the "Date added". :)

How did you test how well this fits on the device ?

    • Almost all cases etc are made before the product is released.

I don't know how they do it, but most of them fit nicely.

      • Apple would have sent specimen cases to licensed accessory manufacturers to ensure that when the ipad comes out there are accessories to go with it. From there, everyone else finds out the size.

I don't know how the manufacturers tested it. If you can be able figure out how our manufacutrers can get the specifications of new generation Apple products even before they are released in USA, maybe you will know that.

  • Love how this is released before the product itself!

Apple might be forced to give these away for free anyway.

    • LOL

  • Only problem with this is that you won't be able to use the smart cover (or whatever it's called) with it. No room on the side for the magnetic thingy.

To the Tiny Deal rep….still waiting for my iphone cases from 8 weeks ago, I suggest people avoid buying from Tinydeal I have contacted them on 3 separate occasions and keep getting the run around, the tracking number supplied shows the item hasn't moved since the 13th of January yet they refuse to accept its missing and refund me, $60 down the drain

You may be able to piss away $60 but I cant, I have no other avenue with these people other than email and this rep so before being a hero online try thinking about someone other than your ego. I have asked this company a number of times to deal with the complaint and all I get is broken English responses telling me what a good friend I am and piss poor excuses for why they aren't doing something about it.

At least with McDonalds you can go into a store and speak to a manager or call an Australian complains number, this company has neither.

Excuse my honesty upsetting your fragile little world where everything is perfect, but in my mind if I can save a fellow Ozbargainer the issues I am having buy reading my problems and thinking twice before buying then at least it wont be a total waste of my money, at least some people are grateful, then there are the fools that type a witty replies to make themselves feel better…

hotzone - Tinydeal, Dealextreme, and all the other chinese online shops have these problems. Most of the time its the post offices fault or perhaps they wrote the wrong address etc

My point is that just because you've had a bad experience, it doesn't mean everyone else will, a simple comment without a negative would have been more appropriate.

As an example I once got the most extreme stale fries from mcdonalds. I don't go negging all the mcdonalds threads because of it, a simple comment would be fine. If everyone did what you did, most of these topics would just have negatives as most companies have stuffed up in the past enough to put most of these bargains into oblivion.

More importantly, have you spent $60 on iPhone cases as a first purchase? Seems odd.

Can't believe the votes above for my comment, 7 positive and 15 negative :)

    • Odd??? whats so odd about it…Why should it matter if its a first purchase or a 51st purchase, $60 vs $6 why should it make a difference a reseller should honor any deal they do with us, that's the right of posting on this site.

Tinydeal have finally contacted me based on my comments on this post and are willing to refund the money however they have asked I remove my post above. Strange a company would request that don't you think???

I personally want my $60 back but I wont be removing the comment, at the time it was fact. Tinydeal are better off leaving the complaint and me updating saying they contacted me and it was resolved, it shows future buyers a progress in a complaint to a successful end.

I think the feedback you got should show you others think as I did and a great percentage of people on the site agreed..its not that hard to understand really, it was logical…to most.

      • Update 9/3/11 Tinydeal refunded money from item not received. Thanks to Kelvin from Tinydeal for the communication and prompt replies.
