Agreed .com is not always cheaper. The last three books I have purchased have been cheaper on the uk site even without the 10%.

as people have already said some books are cheaper on the .com website, some books are cheaper on the .co.uk website. Check prices before ordering and go with the lowest priced website

I didn't think it did. Some site posted it as an article and after that I thought it stopped working. Since then, I tried it once and I know of a few other people who have tried it, but the proxy can't connect to Book Depository.

May get a uni textbook that is 'recommended but not required' for almost $60 cheaper than the bookshop here. Sweet.
im skipping all the reccomended books. just getting the 3 set texts. hopefully they get here soon.
I only had 1 set and had to get a particular bundle which as far as I could see was only available at the bookshop here. But it's cheap enough to get the one recommended one if need be.

you have to reply the email they sent younot sure, maybe send them a link to this page or just tell them your friend sent you the link in an email, they shouldnt expect you to forward a personal email to them.

for those buying Uni textbooks, booko is a bit misleading. because they print a new edition of the same textbook every year, and obviously the uni wants everyone to get the latest one, some of the searches come up with older/newer edition, so you see a big difference in price that might be a bit confusing
what i found best, and since its only a couple of books really, go to the actual website (amazon, bookdepo etc) and search there. i did a search at the the main ones, and the prices are quite different really. some websites will bundle packs, or it could just be a one year publication difference. e.g. because textbooks have so many editions, you'll get quite a range in pricing.
also make use of that amazon.co.uk supersaver delivery. if a book is offered with that, then it's 99% of the time cheaper than anywhere else.
better still use the iSBN in the searches
