12 Months Free Shipster Trial @ Australia Post (Via Zanui)

2300

Greetings everyone, I noticed today that Shipster had increased their fee structure, but also noticed this free trial is back again at the bottom of the page!

It says 6 months free on the page, however the click through says a 12 month free trial :)

You must use Paypal to sign up.

If you want complete assurance you won't get charged again, I would highly recommend cancelling your payment contract HERE.

"☑ I agree to receive marketing updates" needs to be ticked by the user otherwise you get no Deliveroo coupon emails.

Shipster: Free shipping applies to orders from participating retailers with an order total of $25 and over and shipping costs under $20. Domestic parcels only.

List of participating retailers

Terms:

Following the 12 month trial offer, you will be automatically charged $3.99 per month or $19 per annum (as selected) until you cancel your Shipster subscription. All payments will be deducted from your PayPal account. The monthly or annual fee (as applicable)is deducted from your PayPal account. 12 month's free subscription of Shipster and reduced subscription fees are not available concurrently with any existing offer for free or reduced subscription to Shipster. Offer available to PayPal customers only. By agreeing to the offer, you also agree to the Shipster terms and conditions which can be viewed at auspost.com.au/Shipster

Free shipping applies to orders from participating retailers with an order total of $25 and shipping costs under $20. Domestic orders only.

Free delivery applies to eligible Deliveroo orders, which are those that meet the minimum basket spend of $25.

There is no official end date from what I can see, however I'd recommend to sign up now if you want it.

As always, enjoy!

Shipster isn't international shipping, that's Shopmate.

      have a look at UStoOZ

Sounds like you are using this deal to promote another service. Better make a proper deal or forum post and tell us all about it.

Does your local girl ship parcels for free with domestic orders? Otherwise I really don't know where you can save this "few bucks" that your are talking about.

        • My apologies for trying to get you to share the service with the community and getting some brownie points…

    • Expensive? It's FREE!

Every OzBargain member surely must have a free Shipster account by now

    • +5

      Nope. What's shipster?

A trendy, bearded courier driver that works for Australia Post.

I didn't know what it was either, i just knew it must be good if everyone is voting it up.

Apparently free shipping on order over $25 for the participating retailers.

        • +1

*when shipping is less than $20, I believe.

          • @dm01: Thanks, I had to clarify that

"Free shipping applies to orders from participating retailers with an order total of $25 and shipping costs under $20. Domestic orders only."

So cart is greater that $25
But shipping cost is less that $20
Only then the shipping will be free

    • Won't ever say no to refreshing my year extension.

  • shipster is very god for booktopia. cheaper than book depository

    • +6

When your free Shipster trial runs out: if you click through via booko.com.au then Booktopia and Angus & Robertson always come up as free shipping.

    • But book depository is usually cheaper and always has free shipping?

      • That's also what I found.

      • shipster and booko allows you to get free shipping with booktopia. many books are cheaper on booktopia in my personal experience.

    • I normally get free shipping at Booktopia by clicking through from booko.com.au.

      Edit: beaten to the punch.

    • +2

      What's a "Book" ?

      • +4

Think of it as a collection of thin, fossilised screens all bound together.

whats the Shipster Monthly Bobbi it tries to charge $10 for?

    • +3

That means they'll charge you $10 in the next year if you don't cancel before the trial ends.

You can cancel the payment contract here.

      • +2

        What about Bobbi?

  • +2

Came up as $10pa for me after 12months.

    • Same

  • Ah, I accidentally skipped on ticking the marketing email because I didn't realise it was for free Deliveroo. Looks like there's no way to turn that on once signed up.. Alas.

    • Are deliveroo still part of shipster? I didn’t get an email last month.

      • Actually got a code today, even though I didn't tick the option.

  • Shame it doesn't work with PayPal.

  • +2

Thanks OP signed up no dramas. Yes the click through says 12 months not 6 months free trial! Also cancelled the automatic payment in paypal.

To be safe, you should also do the following as suggested by Australia Post:

If you wish to cancel your Shispter membership, please do so with more than 2 business days notice from your next billing date, so we can ensure you aren't then billed. To cancel, Please contact our customer care team for help.

I set up a Google calendar reminder a week prior.

      • Good idea, thanks! Created the same :)

  • Thanks, signed up for 12 months. How do you cancel the auto renewal? I can’t see the option on PayPal’s website.

  • +1

    Thanks, OP!

  • Looks like I signed up for 12 months free Shipster in July, so not long ago.

Worth doing anything with this deal? Creating a 2nd Shipster account?

  • +1

    In the T&Cs :
Australia Post will impose the following restrictions on re-subscriptions to Shipster to prevent misuse. If you re-subscribe with:

the same email address; and/orthe same name; and/orthe same residential address,

you will not be entitled to the Trial Offer and will instead be charged the relevant subscription fee.

Has anyone ever been charged for resubscription?

  • Link seems broken and on Zanui the offer says 4 months free trial :(

    • Ahh yeah, must be expired now unfortunately!

  • Can anyone tell me if the deliveroo vouchers are linked to your specific account?

    • Nope, they can be used on any account :)

      • +1

        Ok cool - thanks!

If anyone would like my voucher, please send me a PM - I won't use it.

  • This is NOT a 12 month trial, at least for me.

I chose the annual plan, then got a message saying, "Charged after 6 months trial." Going through to PayPal, this message didn't change.

So providing this is the same for others, this gives you a 6 month trial, not one year.

    • Yes it has now been fixed to 6 months, I might post the new 6 month deal on the weekend as that's what the mods advised.
