  • Tomorrow there will be a Groupon 10-15% code stack with that.

  • has anyone tried any of the dental care services from groupon? I'm interested but want to know how thorough they are

  • I'm from Melbourne, what do people usually buy that's good value?

  • The search suggest shows Warner Bros. Movie World but I think they don't actually have it?

I got Australia Zoo tickets stacking 10% off sitewide with 5% cashback some days back. 15% off stacking with 15% cashback sounds great. 10% off sales have seemed frequent though.

    • That was my thinking but it looks like Australia Zoo is excluded from the 15% off coupon. I tried it and it said the coupon didn't apply. On the terms and conditions of the coupon it lists a number of places, Australia Zoo is one of them, it's not obvious, to me at least, but I'm assuming they are exclusions.

If the 15% cash back still applies it still works out better than getting tickets through the nrma.

  • Boo, i didn't get any tracking from Cashrewards :(

    • +2

Good things come to those who wait :)

    • Should take up to 1 hr. Sometimes it's taken 5 minutes, other times about 50min

  • Any idea when this deal might end?

    • Midnight tonight

  • This will be the second time I try this cash rewards program . I just went through this bought my groupon voucher closed the tab and returned to cash rewards. Will see if it works. It didn’t work for the Xbox live deal. However the team were very helpful.

    • +1

      Yep worked perfectly this time.

      • +1

        Great to hear.

      • how long till u get the tracking email from cashrewards?

        • I got it 34 minutes after I purchased the groupon ticket

          • @maverickjohn: I made my purchase over an hour ago and havent received anything. Should I be worried?

            • @Homr: No idea , this is my second time using them.

            • @Homr: No, nothing to worry about. You can send their team an inquiry in a few days if it doesn't get tracked and they are v helpful. Been with them for a couple of years now.

              • @orly: You're lucky if you got your untracked cashback paid out. Have had to contact them for 4 purchases that went untracked so they manually added it but they didn't get paid out.

    • Did they manually add the cashback for the Xbox deal? You won't get paid if that was the case.

      • I’m not sure I think they did but there is a tracking on the Xbox live deal. So I assume it’s all good.

        • If you didn't automatically get the tracking email from cashrewards after purchase and had to contact them with your purchase details, they would have manually added it. The cashback has never been approved doing it this way and cashrewards just give you a list of excuses as to why it may not have tracked properly.

I always clear cookies and history, only go to cashrewards and then onto the purchase site so I know the issue is not from my end.

          • @8azinga: Cookies are what track the purchase. I've never cleared mine and tracked every single time.

            • @Clear: Yes, that is my point. Since I clear cookies first, then go to cashrewards and onto purchase site, the only cookies on my PC should be from cashrewards and the purchase site but a few still haven't tracked properly.

I don't vsit any other websites between clearing cookies, visiting cashrewards and making the purchase.

              • @8azinga: That's good. Process of elimination it is then. Any browser extensions enabled? Mac user? I know there is a bug in Adblock Plus that makes it still block tracking cookies even when disabled. Otherwise it could be unlisted coupons.

                • @Clear: Windows 10, no browser extensions, no ad blocking software, VPN or anything else. It's not unlisted coupons either.
These are the same excuses that cashrewards gives and they not applicable to me. 3 out of the 4 were cashbacks of more than $20.

I even made an order from the same store the day before for a small amount but the high value order the next day didn't get tracked.

                  • @8azinga: You seem to have the same problem with Shopback. Would I be correct to assume that you're trying to double dip and get cashback from both providers? That won't work and do you know why?

SB and CR are both using the same affiliate network to track your sale and the commission earned from your sale can only go to one party. If you're trying to use multiple cashback sites then Groupon will allocate the commission to whoever's site had the cookie track the purchase. Alternatively Groupon can also deny the sale because of the attempt to double dip resulting in no one getting commission and thus no cashback for you.

This isn't restricted to Groupon either. It's how cashback works. Stores use an affiliate network to reward people who refer traffic (and sales) to their website. As a reward these refers get commission. Cashback websites are simply giving a portion of their commission back to you.

                    • @Clear: No, not trying to double dip. The process I follow was detailed above and stated I don't visit any other sites.

I havent had any issues with shopback. I made comments to others about it because I know cashrewards and shopback work the same way.

              • @8azinga: Looks like you're following correct procedure then, however there's another settings that's playing with the cookies and/or the communication between your computer and the affiliate networks that track your purchases. It could be browser settings, AdBlock, and/or even your antivirus program.

What I do, to avoid these issues, is have a separate browser, specifically for Cashrewards purchases, and nothing else. It is a "vanilla" Chrome Canary installation, with only one extension: Cashrewards. The home page is Cashrewards. All cookies are allowed, no dodgy setting changes have happened.
I've managed to effectively guarantee to myself that Cashrewards tracks.

If you're having issues like this very often, it's the first thing I'd recommend to try.

Did you go to Cashrewards first and click through to the store? Then made the purchase with the coupon?

      • Was that to me?
I actually posted the next comment below and verified it worked.
But yes I did as you stated

        • Yes. It just sounded like you made the purchase then went to Cashrewards.

    Thanks BA!

  • How is this post not just a duplicate of the one around an hour early that is refered to in this post?? This one dosnt even say it's only Local and goods. Is thinking a post "deserves another thread" a valid reason to post duplicate deals now?

Interested to know as I see others post deals I am interested in but thay had been posted in the middle of the night weeks or months earlyer and get them removed with in minutes.

  • Ok I guess if you go off the title that's true although the 15% cashback was in the description of the original offer

    • The original deal was edited by the mods for being a third party deal.

  • Can anyone recommend something good in Sydney region?

  • Does anyone know if it’s worth buying the Merlin annual pass via this dea? I’m in Melbourne and there are only 3 attractions you can go to.

  • i had something before 1/10 12am and checked out at 12:15am 1/10….will i still get 15% cashback from CR? :(

  • has anyone got their account blocked? mine got blocked stating there is a security breach, all my purchased using 15% has been refunded back to my credit card.
