i honestly hate ebay and their 'deals'

    • +14

this type of attitude is why we can't have nice things. jks though

glass half full approach makes life a lot more enjoyable friend :)

      • Or Glass has wrong size

      • *liquid will only be poured in smaller glass.

    • Lol the daily deals you mean

    • especially their 'Expires at eBay's discretion', always happens when im still deciding what to buy and they finished…

  • -1

Looks like they've caught on. Gift cards are excluded.

    • +7

Gift cards have always been excluded?

      • except for uk site

  • +25

At best this is like a 10% discount off each item. Personally prefer just a regular 10% site wide off without the obligation of buying two items and making sure they are the same price.

Nintendo Switch joy-con: one left + one right = 2!

      • What if they had to be either 2 lefts or 2 rights?! D:

  • +3

In other words 10% off sitewide but you have to buy two

    • +1

Except the discount only applies to the cheaper item, so less than 10%

      • +5

        unless there are identical xD

      • +1

        Quantity = 2

        • +7

          That is pure genius!

    • +2

As an OzBargainer, shouldn't you be buying at least two of any deal anyway?

    • -5

Pretty dumb thing to say, would you buy two xbox? Or are you just a child.

      • -1

        what i said makes sense
in fact klyvenator said the same thing a minute before me and its the most upvoted comment on the thread.
So I guess you're the one saying dumb things - do something useful child

    • +6

      Heck em too

    • +2

What the frick I ordered an xbox card!

  • -2

They raise the minimum purchase for the 5% discount to $50, then slap us in the face with this crappy offer!

    • +3

      Entitlement much?

      • -2

        Entitlement much?

What??? They are not doing this out of their goodwill. They are trying to make money. People have every right to by shitty about crappy deals.

        • +3

You do realise it's a discount code and not a surcharge, right?

          • -4

@dm01: To the naive it may appear as a discount code instead of a surcharge.

    • +7

Or you could just pay full price without any offer at all?

      • +6

Or just wait 72 hours for a better offer to appear.

  • +3

so many hate, where is the love

spend your unloved money for loved goods

    • But I love money.

  • +3

Is this a straight replacement for PACKAGE20? That worked until yesterday. New code, same deal… https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/403129

  • +7

What happens if I want to return the full price item and keep the one at 20% off?

    • +6

This^ A true ozbargainer mind at work xD

    • Try and let us know?

    • Yes, it works. I had to do it when ebay had their package20 code. Cancelled the higher full price item and kept the one that was discounted.

    • -2

They will refund the difference normal price and discount price.

Say, if you bought $100 and $100 items and paid $180 with the code.
Then you return one of them ,you would get $80 refund.

      • What if i paid 101 for one and 100 for the other, and only wanted to refund the 101 one? Would i get 81 dollars?

        • Yes you would. This happened to me with the last code. Seller couldn’t supply so they refunded me and I lost the value of the coupon. $190 in this case.

I asked eBay about it and they were nice enough to load my account with a $190 coupon.

Worked out well in the end.

          • @AaronR: Finally someone with firsthand experience. I keep seeing this question asked in every buy 1, get 1 x% off lol

Velocity Estore is back online don’t forget you can triple stack Velocity Estore/Cashrewards/Flybus EBay

    • Can you please explain how, or point to any instructions online to show how to do this properly? Not worth making a mistake and stuffing up the stacking! Cheers

      • +1
        1. Ensure Flybuys is linked within EBay Account before anything.
        2. Click EBay via Cashrewards. Leave browser open
        3. Open Velocity in new tab within the same browser, Go to Estore, click to eBay, buy on the this same page.
        • Thanks

          • +8

@Meconium: Ether Velocity or Cash rewards will get declined later

            • +6

@regenade: ^100% correct. Unfortunately Gearup’s example above won’t work, as Velocity will be attributed with the sale. In reverse, Cashrewards will get the sale. eBay will not pay both publishers. It’s all about last click.

  • Their deals are getting more and more annoying and time consuming . Give give me a code for a single item.

At the rate they are going it won't be long before they release a code you can use on only items priced with a perfect number on an odd day of the month on a blue moon every leap year.

    • +1

I think they do that to try to boost hits and sales without hurting profit margin too much. What I mean by that is, people who are attracted to the sales will drive numbers up for a particular item, which then attract other buyers who might end up not knowing what code to use.

We still have a fair number of people not using the 5% discount code, even though you can basically hover over the lower price to find out how to get it.

      Ok - P5OFF.

      That was very funny.

  • Lovely, works with offers too if you make / receive an offer for 2 identical items. Just managed to score 2 x LIFX Z LED strips for $131 and paid with 10% off Paypal Ebay gift cards… = $118 for 2 when retail is about $130 for 1!

    • just curious - what do you use them for?

      • I'll tell you when I get them and figure that out haha! At the moment I'm thinking 1 under the kitchen cabinet above the stove (already got LIFX mini's all throughout and their peak brightness could use a tiny bit of assistance…) and the second on the large blank wall in my bedroom as there's a kind of "ledge" jutting out that they'll stick to / hide under nicely.

        • have you got a link from where you bought them? Were they with the homekit or extensions srips? They look interesting, nice if they would work of battery so you can put them where you might not have a outlet.

  • So I just tried to use the code.
I have a godox speed light that I made an offer on and got accepted.
Now I want to add a dji ronin-s and use the code to get 20% off.
I get error code can't be applied to your order.
So I'm guessing both have to be new purchases?

Edit: sorry it worked I forgot I'd changed my registration to USA to get some of those earlier deals. Plus I can use the 15 vouchers I got from 10% off gift cards.

    Thanks op.

    • Which light? I m after ad600b.

      • I got the ad400. I have the 200 which has been great but wanted a bit more power. 400 should be plenty.

  • -1

I just want one 15% coupon

  • I will keep stay in US

  • Doesn't seem to work, "This code can't be applied to your order." with 2 of the same item :(

    • Can you please link the item?

      • Dohh. Sorry my bad. Didn't read the $50 min spend. Need more coffee

  • eBay bring back the spend $100/$150 get $15/$20 off deal pls.

  • +1

Items have to be in the same currency to work.

    • Yeah that's a really big downside to Ebay coupons. Separate checkouts for separate currencies.

  • +1

Whens is the next 10% off site wide due?

  • I wish to buy 5 car tyres, but I will need to make two transactions (at x2 tyres each trans) = 4, then purchase another tyre with P5OFF code to get 5% off

    TLDR:
4 tyres at 10% off each
    1 tyre at 5% off

or I can just wait for a 10% site wide deal… sigh too many codes and I keep missing the 10% deals Lol
