Have a read through their reviews - even the most recent ones aren't too favourable.

    Good offer.

Careful they charge extra fee's once you select a room and it's variable (not hidden GST).

    e.g. 2 nights near Sydney airport -

    Travelodge Hotel Sydney Airport $321.67
    Taxes and Fees $15.67
    Total $337.43

Quality Hotel CKS Sydney Airport $440.66
    Taxes and Fees $70.10
    Total $510.76

Taxes and Fees includes an estimate of the amount we pay for taxes owed, government imposed service fees, credit card fees and other fees required by law to be collected by the hotel or the hotel supplier. The amount actually paid in connection with your reservation may vary from the amount we estimate and include in the charge to you. Any balance is a fee we retain to cover the costs of handling your reservation and reward, as well as our overall service and may include profit. Depending on the property you stay at, you may also be charged mandatory hotel specific service fees like resort fees and/or optional incidental fees. These charges, if applicable, will be payable by you to the hotel directly at checkout.

Hmm. The reviews are not favourable. Had a long read and don't know what to say. Have a upcoming travel in november and was feeling lucky with this offer. But after reading reviews and comments above, its not my game.

    • I'm in a similar boat, but all the bad reviews seem like people complaining about not getting a refund when trying to cancel, even though a full refund for cancellation was never offered by them?

For the places I'm doing they are 2-3x the price as other sites :(

Fiji as a destination is ridiculous considering I paid $200 for naviti resort and here they want$418

    OP, I'm fairly sure it's Hotelstorm :)

Interesting that the headline prices seem good, so thanks for pointing out the additional charges that are hiding down the process.

  • Funny, it doesn't state how many cards are eligible for this offer. Very strange.

  • Anyone used hotelstorm before and can provide feedback?

Be aware of overpriced of its hotel rooms

    • Example: Baiyoke Sky Hotel Superior Standard Zone with breakfast, both are non-refundable, from 23rd Oct 4 nights.

Agoda price: listed as $85S nightly, with tax added to a total of $400, plus 6% cashback making it actually $376.

HotelStorm price: $537 in total with tax added.

Even after $50 statement credit, HotelStorm is still $111 more expensive than Agoda with cashback accounted.

That is more than ¼ expensive!! (price actually listed in SGD for me, 102% of AUD.)

  • Does anyone know if they charge upon booking at the website, or is the card charged at the hotel?

Essentially, I wish to make a booking prior to the offer expiry 12/11/18 but will be staying beyond that date. Obviously, if card is charged at the time of stay then there is no point making a booking now.

  • It's done at the booking stage
