  • Seems like quite a decent phone. Going to wait until it hits under $300 with an Aussie warranty, though.

Australian stock under $300? You may be waiting a while.

      • The Aus version is only 3/32, not 4/64 as well.

EDIT. Hmm I was thinking of the 6.1 (which I have) not the plus.

        • +1

7 plus is what i. after, slight bigger notched screen and battery, and band 28 and nfc ….no xiaomi do that for the price, and if you need please point to xiaomi deal that does band 28 and nfc at these prices or i will assume you are just a fanboi.

  • Has B28 but no NFC and no notification LED.

    • Do all Android on Oreo come with no LED notification? I bought motor G6 plus before I realised that it doesn't have LED notification.

      • No, there are phones which come with Oreo or are on Oreo which do have a LED notification. Some phones have LED notifications and some don't, it doesn't depend on what OS version that you're on.

    • phones now do notification on the lcd screen as a tiny icon a blanked screen, saves space and power.

has band 28 and is android one …..no xiaomi does this for that price ……

    • check full spec and instruction book …..does nfc ….they just don’t make a big deal about it and nfc now is common with global phones, just not china domestic chinaddroids.

      • Any chance you could show where you found that? 6.1 Plus does not mention it in the user guide at all https://www.nokia.com/en_au/phones/support/nokia-6-1-plus-us…

Nokia 6.1 Plus does not have NFC.

They're confusing it with the Nokia 6.1 (2018) which in fact does have NFC functionality.

@tranter: all the phones I've seen are 6.1 (2018) … which is what they have at JB, etc ….this plus might be older model then … better off buying local then…local is still under $400 and would have be the 2018 model, AU charger and local warranty.

@garage sale: This phone is the Nokia 6.1 Plus (global version) which was released in August.

As far as I know the phone isn't even available locally yet.

  • Comparison Nokia 6.1 vs Nokia 6.1 Plus

    https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=8972&idPhone2=9178#,61-plus,

    • Thanks for the link. Seems the 6.1 is better than the 6.1+

      • 6.1 plus seems to look more dated

  • Is this the Global version (TA-1103) or the Chinese version (TA-1099)?

Should be Global since it claims to be Android One, which China versions don't get.

    Very low price though!

Anyone know what it will retail for in Australia?

    • +2

Pretty sure it's the Global version since it has band 28 and Android One.
