Greetings everyone, a friend of mine found this great deal last night in the first choice catalogue.

Purchase 2 Cases of Heineken or Heineken 3 beer in one transaction from First Choice Liquor or Vintage Cellars and get the newly released UE Megaboom 3!

When you add up the cost of the cases, the cheapest current deal you can seem to get Heineken 3 Cases are from Dan's for $39.90 each which you can then price match at First Choice, netting $79.80 in total and $179.80 for the whole bundle which is a great price for the speaker itself.

Heineken cases currently seem to be around $44.95 each at most stores. Please make sure you check around and price match at First Choice before you buy!!

Closing date to purchase the beer is 15/11/18 and closing date for entering the submission is 22/11/18.

There are 7,590 speakers available for purchase in the promotion.

Unbelievably shit promo management. I fking hate that Furfys owned by the same company!

  • My brother bought 2 x Heineken from First Choice on the 03/10/18. Submitted just about 15mins later. Yesterday 14/10/18 emailed Lion Promo that he haven't received any replies yet. Now 15/10/18 (24+ hours later) still haven't received any replies…. :(

    • Did he submit the order receipt or the invoice? The invoice is attached to the despatch notification and this is what is required. If he didn't receive it get him to call First Choice customer service. They were very helpful and immediately sent me a copy which was accepted for my claim.

      Damn, you have exerted $380 worth of wasted typing time, worrying time, sleepless nights and mental exhaustion to buy a $300 speaker for $191.50. At least the free beer will take some of the pain away so not a total loss.

  • submit recepit yesterday morning, and got approved email this afternoon . paid for speaker. now just waiting 4 weeks.

  • Took 2 submissions but it finally worked.. i bought the cases online and had to upload the tax invoice pdf.

    Bought the speaker but you can choose your preferred colour but "its up to them what colour you get" lol!

    Bought two cases late Saturday morning and submitted my details, with the receipt uploaded, when I got home.
    Received auto confirmation of my claim within the hour. Figured nothing else was going to happen on the weekend.

    Happy to report received approval email earlier this arvo and have followed the prompts and filled in the payment details a short time ago.
    Again got an auto confirmation email that payment has been processed.

    Will report back when it's delivered (to the ACT), to give youse an idea of their processing time.

    ps - as I noted in an earlier posting - If you check out the OPs header at the top it shows: secure.promosite.com.au (6098 clicks)- this was the number of clicks to the claim site as at 3:45pm today.
    If each of these clicks have resulted in a claim being submitted I guessing that there are about 1,500 Speakers still to be allocated to new claims.

    • You did nothing wrong. Just resubmit, send another email, maybe give them a call.

      They are the one doing everything wrong. This promo was a disaster.

  • Just got co firm email and order from them. I claim on 3/10. Weird how some people still don't get it.

    • Finally got mine too. A friend also confirmed they got the email at the same time. I think they might have just batch accepted a ton of requests, so I'd be quick to order.

  • Anyone successfully purchased the speaker and game enough to experiment with resubmitted the same Invoice but a different name and address for a possible 2nd purchase? :-)

    • Pretty sure the receipt/invoice number will be what will prevent that. They already have checks to prevent the same address, I imagine the same goes for receipt/invoice number.

      Did you make a note of the claim number after your order? That is referred to as the order number in the e-mail order confirmation. See if you could search for that in your mail.

    Purchased at Vintage Cellars QLD two cartons of Heineken 3 for $84. Submitted claim on 9th October and received email 16th of October saying claim was approved. Purchased MEGABOOM 3 via promo website for $101.50 including delivery on the 17th Oct. Says up to 4 weeks for delivery.

    Which number is your receipt number?
    Is it the barcode one?

    I called lion and got the email address for the person in charge of the promotion. Hopefully they can sort out my situation.

    Bloody frustrating.

    • First Choice Online??? When my order was attached there is an invoice attached called Invoice RSIXXXXXX - The RSI number was the one I entered into the form and it was approved.

    • Mine was the 13 digit number underneath the words "TAX INVOICE" on the receipt.

    • I think it's the number down the bottom after it says "Retain this docket for redemption"

  • Finally got the 'claim approved' e-mail… twice. I submitted my claim on 3rd Oct and received the approval on the 16th Oct.

    I sent an e-mail to: [email protected] and submitted an inquiry to the Heineken website. Something must have helped.

    For the record I submitted my receipt yesterday and received the link to purchase the Megaboom today. I just processed the transaction and it went smoothly.

    I expect to receive the speaker within 4 weeks.

    So offer still good!

    When somebody actually receives their Megaboom speaker, please let us know below and how it was sent - Post, Courier (Fastway, StarTrack, etc) Thanks.

    • T&C's seem to imply it'll be Post (Speaker will be delivered by mail within four (4) weeks from the Promoter’s receipt of a valid
      redemption of offer), but still worth confirming when they start arriving.

    • I purchased in-store on the 03/10/18
    • Submitted the claim 30mins after.
    • Heineken replied back on the 12/10/18 saying the claim is not valid (no reasons given). I replied back to Heineken email asked what was the reason. Automatic email sent back to me saying that email address can not be responded to.
    • I submitted another claim same day (12/10/18)
    • Again got another invalid reply next day (13/10/18)
    • And yet again I submitted (13/10/18)
    • Heineken replied back saying not valid because the Supporting document was unreadable (16/10/18)
    • I emailed Lion next day (17/10/18), told them Heineken "couldn't read" the supported document I emailed them and attacked 4 photos with the email to Lion.
    • Lion replied saying please resubmit to Heineken as they couldn't upload on my behalf. (18/10/18)
    • Yesterday I resubmitted again (19/10/18)
    • This morning 09:02am Heineken replied and ACCEPTED my claim….

    Crap promotion management.

    My claim rejected twice. No explanation why. Emailed them, no answer.

    Third claim using same invoice and same pdf copy of online purchase approved.

    Good deal, but woeful administration.

    Note if you claim using an online order it appears that the address you make the claim at must exactly match the address you had the online order delivered to.

    Also when they send the speaker, they will only send it to the address you registered when you claimed.

    That and the receipt vs invoice number I think explains some of the rejections.

    What moron decided it was a good idea to reject applications without giving a clear explanation of why?

    My claim got accepted first time. Could I return the beers for a refund and still get the speakers if I already paid for it?

      I would say you probably could! Might be worth waiting for the speaker if you can, I wouldn't want to risk something happening and the speaker being refunded or something. But I did take the Heineken back after and swapped it out for some better beers, so you could always do that if you want!

      still waiting buddy. I've asked people to respond above if they have.

      If people had their claims approved and paid for in the first few days of the promotion, deliveries of the speakers should start happening by early November.

      That being said though, this promotion has been a cock-up thus far and the promoter has been unable to keep to it's own schedule. We'll see how it goes.

  • When you purchase online how long does it take to receive the invoice?
    I got the order receipt straight away but as you can't use that, its pointless.
    Do they email you the invoice or does it come attached when you pick up the order?

        • Got my invoice yesterday and submitted my claim last night.
          Got the email confirming my claim and have now paid for the speaker and I am waiting 4 weeks for delivery.
          So offer is still working as of today.

  • Beer already finished. Couldn't hold out until I got the speaker and return it for a different beer. Heineken 3 was a hit with the ladies. They felt butch and proud drinking it. (Pretty weak beer and I didn't tell them it was half strength).

    • I read in Heineken FB page someone ask about the delivery process and the Heineken rep said they will give a tracking number from Australia Post once they send it. So if that's the case then + another week after receiving said tracking number. They can't do anything right. sigh saw some JBL deals without getting a beer and it makes me regret jumping in on this.

          I also read really really late that the UE Megaboom 3 doesn't have AUX while JBL has. I mean that's a cheap option to use it as a speaker for the tv when watching movies/playing games. I know it's my fault I purchased it but this waiting makes it more painful.
