Greetings everyone, a friend of mine found this great deal last night in the first choice catalogue.

Purchase 2 Cases of Heineken or Heineken 3 beer in one transaction from First Choice Liquor or Vintage Cellars and get the newly released UE Megaboom 3!

When you add up the cost of the cases, the cheapest current deal you can seem to get Heineken 3 Cases are from Dan's for $39.90 each which you can then price match at First Choice, netting $79.80 in total and $179.80 for the whole bundle which is a great price for the speaker itself.

Heineken cases currently seem to be around $44.95 each at most stores. Please make sure you check around and price match at First Choice before you buy!!

Closing date to purchase the beer is 15/11/18 and closing date for entering the submission is 22/11/18.

There are 7,590 speakers available for purchase in the promotion.

There is a $1.50 admin fee mentioned in the FAQ:

    FYI I called and confirmed it includes ANY Heineken cases bought from First choice or Vintage Cellars so 500ml cans are included. They weren't too happy about it though as they're imported by another company not Lion Nathan so they won't make anything out of it but their terms & conditions aren't specific enough so they don't have a choice and have to allow it.

    I ordered online but only had the "Order Receipt" email you get after ordering online. I used that email to complete my claim.

    I hope it will be enough because first choice finally just sent me my invoice (7 hours after I ordered). Hopefully they don't invalidate my claim because I didn't have the invoice.

      I did the same and it should be good as the form ask for a Receipt and not Invoice but it honestly it worries me too.

      legitimately there could be some people who wouldn't wanna spend $100 on a speaker but gladly spend it on beer so it's completely possible some people clicked this deal looking for a cheap price on beer and had no interest in a speaker who would be kind enough to upload a receipt for those of us who have no interest in beer and just want the speaker…

        But posting it in the comments is not overly helpful. It'd be the first to submit it that'd get the speaker, and dozens of disappointed hopefuls finding out two weeks later, and possibly Heineken cancelling even the first submission.

      7,590 Speakers available according to OP, so we’re looking at over 15,000 cases. Any delays work to the promoter’s advantage, and might limit anyone gaming the system. If they’re legit, good chance we will get at least one each.

      If you check out the OPs header at the top it shows: secure.promosite.com.au (5790 clicks)- this was the number of clicks to the claim site as at 1:45pm Saturday.
      So assuming each of those clicks have resulted in a claim being submitted I guessing that there will be 1,800 Speakers left to allocate to new claims.

      When I bought my two cases at FC (in ACT for $46 ea), I was given a promotional flyer for this which states:-
      "…while stocks last" as per the T&C.

      However it also states:- "*HURRY, ONLY WHILE STOCKS OF GUIDE TO ENTRY FORMS LAST." ??!!
      I presume the Guide to Entry Form is their name for the flyer. So I'm going to keep it as proof that I am entitled to receive the offer.

    I had a look at some YouTube reviews of this speaker and gotta say I am not that impressed with the sound. I have a Sony XB30 that I got for just over $100 and was thinking this would be an upgrade, but now I am not so sure? Anyone have both and can comment?

        Good question, and I'll give you a good answer. Some reviewers use high quality binaural microphones to record the speakers, so the recordings are very accurate, especially if you listen on good quality headphones, which I do. I have tested speakers in store myself after listening to Oluv's reviews, aka clavinetjunkie and we must have very similar taste in sound as his reviews match my thoughts almost exactly. He also has a "switcher" database that allows you to compare any of the hundreds of speakers he has tested.
        If you are buying a bluetooth speaker, you would do well to check out his reviews. Other good reviewers are Jim'sReviewRoom and DLX Willington.
