  • Keep in mind that this is VA panel, not the newer version with IPS panel (Q3279VWFD8)

    • I read a bit online about VA vs IPS and remain confused. My use is mainly office work with occasional video, is IPS a better choice for some reason?
Is IPS generally more expensive than VA?

      • The biggest gripe I have with VA is contrast shift. If you find it obvious and annoying, then avoid. The main advantage of VA over IPS is darker blacks. Other than that, IPS is better in most areas. Input lag is also an issue for VA.

Kogan ruined my VA impression. Kogan must have used some Samsung reject MVA/PVA panels in their TVs. The contrast shift was SO BAD off center, I simple gave the TV away to a relative for free.

    • Got this one.
      Thanks for the link

    • Am I missing something? I can't seem to get the discounted price. The PFUTU20 code is invalid.

    • Ozbargained!

      • Hi care to explain? New to this forum.

        • Just saying that link posted by ChanWilson - there are none left

    • Damn, that one is out of stock

  • Any cheap 27/28" 1440p monitors with at least 75hz Freesync? 32" is a bit too big and would make games look awful when I have to drop to 1080p (using an RX570).

  • The AOC 27" 75Hz freesync is only 1080p.

  • Looking to upgrade a Benq 27" with blue light filter to a 31" monitor with blue light - was looking at the AOC but was out of stock so found this https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/Monitors/25plus-inch/736….

Not very tech savvy sorry - can anyone give some advice if the viewtech one above is decent for web browsing using an HP laptop with an Intel HD Graphics 5500 card. Currently, spend a lot of time staring at excel worksheets and getting bad eye strain and not sure if its related to the monitor.

    • 32" at 1080p… I dunno. How far away so you sit? Is your current one 1080p?

      • Thanks spillmill- Sit about 30 inches from the screen - the monitor specs I currently have are below but its 1920 x 1080 https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/Monitors/25plus-inch/666…

        • The reasons for the eye strain could be various, of course. I'm not sure going bigger would necessarily help. Are you able to borrow something from someone to trial?

You could try enlarging the font in Windows on your current monitor, as going bigger with same res is basically that.

  • Keep in mind not VESA compatible (cant mount)
