[VIC] ULP 91/Diesel for 129.7c/Ltr, Free Snacks, Free Barista Coffee, Free Automatic Carwash @ Caltex Highbury Road, Mt Waverley

910

Just found out about a new servo which recently opened (or re-opened, as it used to be a United servo) on Highbury Road in Mount Waverley. To celebrate, they have discount fuel and a bunch of freebies as follows from 11am to 5pm:

  • Heavily discounted fuel of 20-30cents (Currenty reported to be 129.7 for ULP91 and Diesel and 159.7 for ULP98)
  • Forecourt service for all customers
  • Free snacks & QFix food offers
  • Free barista coffee & food giveaways
  • Free automatic carwash

Limited stock is available and T&C's apply (can't find any online). With the average Unleaded 91 Melbourne fuel price being in the high 150s, expect to fill up for between 130 and 140 cents per litre.

272 Highbury Road, Mount Waverley

UPDATE: The deal has been cut short and cancelled due to traffic issues.

Unleaded 91 Melbourne fuel price being in the high 150s

    $1.45 at United

      Here in adelaide its 167.9

      What a joke.

      • +2

        What a joke.

The real joke is them claiming they're making 3 cents a litre profit.

        • 3c a litre yes! 😂

        • +2

Used to work at Petrol station, and yes, petrol stations get 3c, that's how it's paid out @ per litres sold on the paperwork.

          Distributor gets everything else.

          • @grunge: Actually the government gets most of it.

    • Which United?

      • Rowville

    • Which United is that? It hasn't gone under $155.9 for at least the last 2 weeks around me.

    • 1.67 around most east, south, and CBD servos for the past 2 weeks

      • United on Ferntree Gully Rd Scoresby is still showing 145

        • +1

Can confirm this, passed by last night and it still has U91 at $1.459/L!

    massive queue expected?

    • +3

Looks like their price from sometime in Feb 2017 (when that image was captured).

  • wait so fuel is 20-30 cents!?!?!?

    • No, the title is just written badly.

      • I was so confused.. was like no way…

        • +1

I know right, it was like so gnarly dude.

Can someone confirm the deal is still available? If yes, any idea when it expires? Thanks.

    • +5

Read the actual post? It runs for 1 day between 11am and 5pm.

      • +3

You are asking too much. This is OzLazyBargain.

  • +1

There will be a queue of cars a few kms long.

  • +1

Oof, I just washed my car.
I wonder if the fuel prices will be better than 7 Eleven's lock in with GPS spoofing.
Edit: Actually I can see current the prices.
    U98 is 175.5, U91 is 156.7. Of course that's before the discount.

      You're there at this time!?

    • You wash your car with petrol???? 😶

      • Whilst having a cigarette

          Zoolander style. Jitterbug

      • Free automatic carwash

    • +2

Can you still do GPS Spoofing on 7-eleven, I can't on my Galaxy s8+.

    • How do you spoof, can you please send a link. It seems 7eleven blocks the spoofing??

    • Guys, there's a discussion here regarding viewing fuel prices and using spoofing with the app.

  • Holy hell was gonna go on my lunch break if it was 20-30c per litre not 20-30c off per litre..

    • How the free carwash is working? Do they give you voucher?

      • No voucher just good old waiting in line

    • Thanks for the update. Will put price in title.

      how long was the wait?

      • I arrived dead on 11am and waited about 15 minutes. I came from the Glen Waverley end of Highbury Road. the schlepps coming from the Warragul Road end had a long and nasty wait in the right lane of Highbury Road, waiting to turn into the lot.

    • So cost more than 7 Eleven. (157.4 per litre)

      • That's for 98 though. 91 was $1.297. I was lucky enough to get in before Vic Roads came. When I paid they had dispersed the crowd.

  • Thinking about heading down in an hour.
How are the ques? Cost of 95?
    Thanks

  • Queues are huge, just drove past!

  • Thank you, twas really good to have cold coffee served three times to you in the car quesues on the way to pump! Free doughnuts, free carwash, what else free not enough time to discover. Was not allowed to pump with my jerry cans. Only allowed one jerry of my two cans. Sigh. Thats fair ENOUGH. The left most rows on entry take the 4 car wash bays and the remainder right lane is led to all the 8 fuel bowsers. You will not be allowed to pum yourself, you will be served by an attendant.

VicRoads have just shut them down - there was traffic chaos! Prices are up to $1.55+

    • +1

Oh wow. Wonder if the cheap petrol was worth it haha

    • Do they still have free food and free car wash?

    • I was considering going down but thank the lucky stars I have the BP amex cash back deal!!!

      Thank the lord

  • The facebook event has a comment from the servo saying "Because of the traffic issues, we have stopped event at 1:00pm. Sorry for the inconvenience" I'll mark as expired.

    • Bummer, just about to head there to fill up my jerry can and get a car wash. Damn you vicroads :(
